These are even more heavily built than I thought they would be. I suspect these will last for years to come.The 1/4 turn valve can be minimally difficult to turn, but I don't believe the average person would have an issue with it at all with it. Small children and people with weakened finger strength 'might' have an issue... not sure if they really would, but figured I'd include that if it is a worry for you.

I bought these so I could regulate the flow through my hand held nozzles to be able to water plants with a gentle shower or mist. These valves work great for that purpose. I can go from full flow to a slow trickle with a just a minor adjustment to the valve. They also feel well constructed and I hope they last a very long time. Would highly recommend.

It is WONDERFUL to be able to change the sprayer on the waterhose or simply take it off without having to run back to the faucet to turn off the water or bend the hose (which is not good on the hose; the last time I bent a hose it crack the hose...yes, the it was sunbaked, but it still didn't need to get a leak in it). Also, if you happen to have a faucet that doesn't seem to turn ALL THE WAY OFF (as in it drips a lot even after being turned off as tight as possible), this should stop the dripping or and think of the water you'll save (though if it's leaking behind the faucet valve this won't help and your faucet really needs fixed before water gets in your walls). I plan on buying more to put on the end of all my yard hoses (especially the ones that love to rust and it seems impossible to change the sprayer heads).

I bought this because I use an extension hose while running the sprinkler. I shut water out off with this valve rather than walking back to the water spigot each time I move the sprinkler

Some sprinklers have a flow adjustment built in and some don't. I get these certain ones at Ace but they don't have adjustable flow. Some areas of my property need full flow and it doesn't matter but beside the house I need it about 1/4 of full flow and this allows me to do that.Good product, good price

I’m always changing nozzles soaker hoses sprinklers at the end of hoses. These allow me to make the changes without going to the tap. Very handy.
