This taste just like it's pictured in the bowl
I got this for the catechin benefits. It's suppose to have over 400mg of catechin in every 100ml. But I have to admit that it does taste more like grass then anything else. And no amount of honey/sugar is going to make it taste any more like "flavored teas". I could suggest using Turmeric for it's benefits as an anti-inflammatory. As that's the only thing that comes to mind. But that's my personal "blend".Now having said that it's very smooth, earthy and surprisingly not bitter at all. I have no real after taste to think of. The package does come with instructions on water temp and seep time. Which tells you exactly what to do.Furthermore, you don't need a lot (IMO) as it seems to swell up pretty good in my strainer. Less then a teaspoon goes a long way for teacup amount (at least for me).Now you may wonder "How strong is that grass taste?" It's front and center but not overpowering. As I swallow it down my throat the taste of grass goes with it. Leaving a bit of "Tea" after taste on my tongue. That's the best way I can describe it.I tried some with just honey and simply don't taste the honey at all. Nor the sweetness to it. I believe this kind of review is important because I can't find any personal experiences that talk about what this tea actually tastes like. And to anyone who is tempted this review will give you some idea of what to expect. This isn't like other traditional teas out there that have familiar flavors.I do hope this helps...

Recommend this organic brand
Packaged well, appropriately green, light color tea when brewed, no strong aroma or taste. I drink it for health and enjoyment. Higher end tea. I would buy it again.

It's an OK sencha.
To be honest, the tea leaves looks and smelled a bit dated. There are better choices for 100g / $25 sencha tea. It's a daily tea that you can enjoy drinking but not that special. Disclaimer, I have been drinking sencha for long time so my opinion may be too critical.
