It's a braided cord, which has a much better durability for me. There's also a lot of reinforcement on the edges, so if you have your phone resting on somewhere while charging, it doesn't put a lot of stress on the cord. The length is great -- you can have it plugged in in bed or on the couch without the cord pulling at all. No issues with it!

So this cable was on sale and I pulled the trigger and bought it. The reason I state this first is because I have had bought an anker cable before that was similar but more expensive than this one, however it was defective and twice the price. I always had a positive view on anker products for the most part. Fortunately they have a very good customer service and they refunded the original cable I bought years ago after warranty had ended and I bought these two cables with that same refund money. So far they have been Superior and worked flawlessly unlike the previous one. I do recommend this particular cable especially on sale but of course with everything your miles may vary.

It is my favorite cable. I bought it to replace my old cable and this one did not disappoint. It’s string, durable, long and it feels like I got a lot of value for the money I spent on it. If charges very fast I my opinion.
