Works Great
Lots of power, sounds great. Only downfall is when played with the neck pick up it does not sound that great. However it isn't this pick up. What I need to do is upgrade my neck pickup to a hotter one. I am thinking I will need to go for a mini humbucker neck pick up to do that. Very happy with this pick up though. When using the bridge only it puts out great sound from the bridge.

Great sound but not a drop in fit
Great price and sound for a hot pickup. However, not a drop in fit. I had to take a Dremel and shave off a small amount all around the body in order to fit.

Perfect hot punch!
Updated review: I think my opinions in the original review were based off me not having wired the pickup correctly. I think I had it wired in phase with the neck pickup which resulted in a bad sound. This evening I installed a push pull pot and wired it for parallel and series and the difference is dramatic. It is much hotter and sounds great. I also recommend this wiring style if you want a crisp single coil sound option. I am modifying my review to 5 stars as it sounds great if you wire it correctly. :)Original review of 2 stars:I purchased this as a replacement for a weak bridge pickup that came in my telecaster kit. It is just as weak as the stock pickup. Also barely fits in the route, like it’s shifted to the right too far when installed.

Just the sound I was looking for!
Used this for a 3-string fretless bass and it sounds amazing. These might twang on a tele but they thump on a bass. They are slightly microphonic and that's just what I wanted, to get some of that upright-bass-slapping-sound. Humbucking mode is quiet and the tone is deep but not too muddy. Coil split is definitely a usable tone for this bass, as it bumps up the treble without a perceived loss of volume.

Efficient
Amazing for a cheap tele build. Handles pinch harmonics and taps well with a slight boost on the high end. Knocking a star for slight hum (to be expected for $20) and lack of wiring diagram. Green and Red for split, Blacks ground, Whites hot. 500k pots work like a charm.

For the money it’s amazing
Bought a 100 dollar tele and just put this pickup in tonight. It sounds, honestly, great. For 20 bucks it doesn’t even make sense. I also routed out a middle pickup slot and put a Wilkinson humbucker in. Another great sounding pickup for under 20 bucks. The tele is actually pretty kickin’ right now!

Passed the screwdriver tap test, but with strings kind of dumped out.
I picked up a nice Asian made Giannini Tele on the cheap, a Brazilian company. Great neck, good project guitar. They make a pretty good Tele, even if it is made on the Asian Rim, (Giannini Standard Series), but the stock pickups were thin and brittle sounding. The bridge pickup almost broke your eardrums with the high pitched tin sound, and rolling back the tone only made it super muddy, super fast.Enter on the bridge, this Alnicov dual hot rail humbucker for the bridge, and I added a Musiclily dual rail bucker for the neck. After installation, and no, I did not coil cut either, did not put either in series/parallel, just used the Black to ground, and the White to hot.On both pickups...Once in, before you reassemble, you always test them and a good way to do that is to plug it up while still unassembled, and tap on a pickup rail lightly with a steel screwdriver. This pickup about four times as hot as the original, a good sign. It passed the screwdriver test with flying colors.BTW, the Musiclily did also, even hotter.Reassembled the guitar, strung it up with a new set of Erine's, and boy, what a disappointment on the bridge pickup, this Alnicov. It became thin and tinny, much like the original, maybe a bit hotter, but not all the time and in this case, a little bit of money. My only hope is the pickup is maybe TOO close to the saddles, and cannot pick up any string vibration.I am rebuilding it now, taking another look at the pickup, hoping maybe the wiring is wrong, but so far, the two colored wires soldered together are the middle of the coils, and the black is ground, and the white is definitely the hot according to my multimeter readings, so it is what it is.When together, the two double rail buckers together sound fabulous, and the neck by itself from the other company sounds so hot it is almost too hot. Might wish I had looked for a Musiclily double rail bucker for the bridge, instead of the Alnicov. Also, the chamber the original bridge pickup was in had to be enlarged, mainly because the way this pickup is built, there are little tabs on the bottom ends, it is a bit longer, and although it fit through the bridge hole, it did not fit in the original cavity. Out came my handheld router, which made short work of that.Overall, when I have them working both together, it is a great Tele. Alone with the Alnicov Bridge pickup, not so much.

This pickup has A LOT of OUTPUT!!!!
I have an old Squier Telecaster that needed a different look and wanted to have a more aggressive Punk tone. I saw this, decided to give it a try, and I am very happy with this dual rail humbucker. Had no problems fitting it into the bridge, but will say the wires were a tad short. Overall, if you have a inexpensive guitar you want to modify to sound loud and has bite, pick this up.Picture with review showing pickup in Bridge Position.

Great value for money
For the price, pretty decent, perfect for what I wanted it for. A more powerful telecaster pick up. So for a little upgrade to your guitars try one of these
