Took me about a week to build while working on it a little each night. Tedious but worth the effort. Finished product looks good. Be careful while pushing the pieces out to assemble and handle with care. It is pretty thin wood but I didn't break any. Some of the pieces have spare parts but not all.

I got this as a project to do with my elderly father. He’s 88 and a retired engineer, so thought he would appreciate all the moving parts. He commented several times how well thought out the design was and how nicely the pieces fit together. Myself, I’m a process writer of 20 years and was impressed at how specific and clear the directions were. Between the two of us, we spent several hours chatting about his memories of WWII and the family growing up while putting this together. For us, it was a multi-day project, but the memories we made and the time spent together is what mattered the most.Some helpful hints:• don’t pop everything out at once. Some items may look the same, but they aren’t. Go step by step.• wax every gear, regardless if it says to or not.• file down every burr• test and retest the gear fittings. We spent a lot of time on this to get everything lined up perfectly so the gears would move smoothly. Again, use the wax.

My fault for not reading the description, but I ordered this at the same time as the other sets that ARE battery operated, and I’m a bit sad that this one isn’t. I also had a harder time setting this one up, but I’m no engineer. It’s nice when finished, but I wish they had a version that runs on batteries.

We haven't seen it yet, but she won't have any problems assembling it.

I've built several kits and they have all been very high quality. I love these.

I have done six or seven of these Roku building sets. This is by far the worst one. It is one of the neatest in theory, but the execution is so mediocre. Which honestly explains why it is half the cost of the better ones.Give it a shot, but not expect to be as satisfied as you could be with their more expensive models.

My son couldn’t stop building it all afternoon, it took him few hours full of enjoyment and expectations, until was finished

The puzzle was pretty easy to build, almost none of the pieces broke, the instructions were clear and when I finished it still spun around like it should. The only thing was that I couldn't get the planes to move up and down which I'm still confused about. That might have been my mistake though. Overall, I would definetly reccoment you to buy this just be a bit careful with some of the smaller peices

The media could not be loaded. Love building models and this one was fun to put together. Great instructions and the light up feature is a nice touch!Great to put together as a family on a rainy day and display with the little lights on!

Reason why 4 stars is the price...very expensive for little wood puzzle but my 75 years old Dad loves them . Takes about 3 to 5 days for him to do them so this time i took a bigger one lol. Hard to find fun things for them to do. Ty 😊

I love the music box and it is really cool. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 if I could but the stars only allow for a 4 or 5. The reason is the circle panels do not line up perfectly (some gapping - very minor) and the mechanics of moving around and up and down is a little choppy at times (partly due to the smaller gears). I tried to eliminate this as much as possible (as I seen this in other reviews) by making sure to wax thoroughly the gears and parts it comes in contact with. Smooth but at times choppy. Very cool - I am tempted to color this and now concerned if parts with the wax will affect the coloring. Love these - ordered another - the telescope is the next one I am getting this week.
