so i just got this headlamp, 325lumens from Energizer on February 2020.lets see how its gonna hold up to my use, but my initial impression is that its very well built, with proper swivel operation and high lumens output.light is clear white with no discoloration what so ever. its also well padded to provide extra comfort and stability when mounting to helmet.will update!10JAN2021 : Still on the set of batteries which came included - light is still bright and clear with no discolouration. Highly recommended.

Great light very happyIt’s a little heavy when you first pick it up when the batteries in it but when on your head it’s fine.I would prefer if it was rechargeable

Durable and bright light, definitely buy again

This is a great headlamp. Very bright and easy to click. Some people have talked about a bad hinge on theirs, I'm not sure if there was an old model or something but the hinge on mine is fine. The headlamp also slides in and out easily to use it as a handheld light or snap the decently strong magnet to stuff.

I have been looking for a headlamp to be used for both night fishing and computer repair. I did extensive research and have tried out various models from other manufacturers. While I have only owned this lamp for a short time and cannot rate its overall durability, here are my initial thoughts:First, it has a highly adjustable and comfortable headband. These are meant to go around hard-hats, so they have a ton of room for adjustment if you have a large head. The bands are very durable and comfortable. The padding on both the lamp and battery pack makes this a comfortable headlamp despite it's clunky appearance. Yes, this is a larger headlamp. There are much lighter weight options out there, but if you want a longer battery life then AA's are the only way to go. Have not used it at length; will update with battery life later.The light itself is extremely bright. In fact, when testing it out I almost blinded a friend- if you are out in the woods at night be careful where you point this! The white LED has 2 settings, though there isn't much brightness difference between them. The reason this light stood out to me was because of the colored LED's. For fishing I prefer to have a red or green light so as not to spook the fish. The red lights perform as you would expect, but the single green LED was quite a pleasant surprise. For one LED it puts out a lot of light and is very useful for keeping your night vision. Having the white and colored lights operate on separate switches was a huge plus, as many other models require cycling through or holding down a single button to activate different features. If you want to preserve your night vision, having the red/green lights on a different switch is great.In terms of distance, this thing really performs. For most users it will be way more than enough. The red light does not project very far, but the green one throws quite a distance. If you need to see your closer surroundings more, the flip down diffuser does a great job. As others have said it does feel a bit flimsy and I'm sure it would snap off if abused, but if you are reasonably careful it should be fine. The entire light housing is set on a swivel, and will go from straight ahead to completely down- you can almost turn it down enough to blind yourself, so I don't see any limitations there!I will update with some comments on durability once I've used it, but from what I can see it is built very well. The elastic is heavy duty, and the connections for the wire seem secure. I like that the wire goes through an outer piece of fabric with two metal grommets to reduce risk of tangling or tugging on the connection points. The light itself feels sturdy, and the battery pack is extremely solid.As for price to performance, I think this blows other options out of the water. I could not find anything with the brightness, options, and durability in this price range. It was meant for professional heavy use and it shows. If you aren't looking for the latest-featherweight super-slim headband, and want a light that uses AA's and feels like it will last, buy this without hesitation.
