I bought this for the dogs' play area in my living room. In addition to being very nice on bare feet, this rug has endured months of wrestling, gross chew toys, and a couple incidents of stomach upset, and it looks perfect. My dogs are light colored, so the shed hair doesn't stand out and look bad (like it did when we had a darker rug, with the thought to avoid stains). All the hair, both long and short, vacuums up easily. Even though it is a *very* light beige, spots clean out easily with basic cleaner and a little scrub from a rag, and you can't tell at all where they were.I would definitely put it in a kid's room, because of how easy it is to clean, and because the pile is too low to hide tiny objects like Lego, Barbie shoes, and stray earrings.Because it is a very low pile, if you want cushioning, you will need a carpet underlay, not just a rug pad.

My new rug arrived today and I just love it. I needed a bedroom rug where my dog can lie down often and also leave treat crumbs that are easy to clean up. This rug has a very short pile and my robot vacuum cleaner can easily clean up the treat crumbs and also travel around the edges without getting stuck. I tried it out just now and I’m satisfied that it’s still perfect for my needs. It slides around some on the hardwood floor, so I will probably get a gripper rug liner to put underneath it if it continues to slide around.The rug came in a cardboard box , wrapped in heavy plastic. It even had special fabric end caps made like a shower cap that fit over the ends of the rolled up rug to protect the edges of the rug. I am actually amazed at the perfect way it was packaged, and I commend the manufacturer for their care in shipping. Fo an inexpensive rug, it’s really a good buy.

Great Quality and very soft! Reason I’m giving it 3 Stars is that the Color is not Ivory. I received thee color Cream and it is darker then the picture shown. I ordered a replacement and the same rug was shipped. I’m bummed because that color will not work for the space I’m needing this rug for; and the Ivory color would work great. But if that doesn’t bother you the quality is great.

I bought this 5' x 8' rug for my kitchen. My small apartment, the main living area, is just one space for kitchen and living areas. The rug not only feels good under my bare feet but also kind of defines the kitchen as it's own area. Even though the rug is made with synthetic fibers, a must in a kitchen, it doesn't feel synthetic. It has a soft cottony feel. It came rolled and took less than 24 hours to lay completely flat on my floor. I am trying to get by with only a stick vac which is another reason I chose this rug, I am able to clean it with my stick vac just fine. There is fluff in the dirt cup of my vac so some shedding is occurring. If I'm on the floor close to the rug there is a new carpet odor but I don't notice it otherwise. Even though the rug does not have a rubbery backing it does not move around on the laminate floor. . Maybe a smaller sized rug would but this size does not. The blue is a subtle shade. I'm totally pleased.

This rug is exactly 2 months old and already has huge matted spots from our feet in front of the couch. That's not even a high traffic area!We have a roomba so the rugs gets vacuumed by the robot every other day, and additionally vacuumed once a week by a high end Dyson.The photos don't do a very good job of showing the wear. (The first photo is the worn spot, the second is a normal spot.) I am very upset that I spent nearly $200 on this rug and I hope this review stops someone else from wasting their money.

The color is way off. My ordered orange rug is actually red. Shows as orange on the Amazon page. Says pile is 4/10 of an inch. Measured the rug at 3/8 which included the backing, pile, and edge. Pile looks to be about 3/8 at most if lifted from its normal flat position, which is close to 4/10. But, the pile lays flat making the rug look and feel very thin, like the pile is just 1/16 of an inch. While the thin pile may be okay for some, the way off color is not.

I haven't had it all that long so don't know how stain resistant it is or how easy to clean (but cats are not allowed in there without my supervision, so hopefully I won't have to test it's stain resistance with cat vomit), but I am otherwise very pleased. It came out of the wrap without the super strong de-gassing smell of some carpets. It's very soft to the touch. It's the perfect color ... just what I wanted!

I am not a picky person. I give honest reviews about my thoughts on an item. I did not care for this rug at all. The color was completely different than shown. It is extremely thin and cheap looking. I did come rolled up rather than folded so that was good. I returned it due to the color & the price for such a cheap looking area rug. It looks like something you'd find in a discount store. It did cost me $5 at UPS to have them wrap it to send as there was no way it was going back in the tight wrapper it came in. I don't like having to return things but that's the chance you take buying off the internet.
