Beautiful Pot

It’s light weight which I like. Other than that it’s a bit over priced.

I have a Sori Yanagi kettle in the same material as this pot; the kettle works just fine with my induction cooktop, so I assumed this would work as well.It does not—the cooktop says that the material cannot be recognized. I thought perhaps the pot I received was a knock-off, but the fine print does say, “ However, it does not correspond to the electromagnetic cooker (IH)”. Not sure why that would be the case, but it’s disappointing. It’s a really lovely and light weight pot otherwise.

The product is displayed as both a pot, a lid, and a colander that fits snug inside it. The package, however, did not include the colander with it. This was a misleading product but I will enjoy the two parts that I have. I just wish that I had the colander with it.

It’s not stainless steel. It does not work on my induction cook top.

I am used to the all clad layered pots and this is single walled. The handle is thin plastic making the whole thing bottom shelve. I bought it directly from Japan not knowing amazon has it.In use, it is similar to a saucier with its shallow wall and shallow rounded corner. I don’t use it to make sauce though as the heating is not very even. It is great for boiling up stock or to make instant noodle as the pout spouts are excellent - no need for a ladle. I should have bought an all-clad.
