All the odds and ends needed to start knitting or crochet add up to a hefty sum if bought individually. This set is a great value and includes pretty much everything I've needed. I really love the scissors they are sturdy and sharp. I also liked that this set included counters albeit not clicky ones, these get the job done. It's not great to keep thing organized, everything ships in baggies but once you open them to use the items they're pretty useless. The clip stitch markers in my kit broke constantly but the spirals worked great. Nice that there are different kinds. Plastic and metal needles is a plus!I would say this is great for a beginner but you will find yourself upgrading bits and pieces as you go along. For gifting I would suggest this as a stocking stuffer for a new knitter or as part of a starter kit with a few other things.

Lots of knitting items all in one place. Only complaint is the bag is a silver shiny thing that I Do Not like. I wanted A blue bag. This one is hideous

I have used much of this kit in several projects since I received it. It has been quite handy and helpful. I will be using it for years to come.

I needed a cable needle and then some more place markers and some needles and this set had it all. Apart from the needles, all pieces are made of plastic. I don't use these devices too often so I am fine with the all plastic stuff cause they don't get much use. It was perfect for what I was looking for. It is also perfect for a beginner/starter set. I'm not sure how long any of this stuff would last if used constantly and if you're looking for stuff that will last for years or take lots of use and is really well made, this might not be the set for you. But it is pretty comprehensive and is perfect for my needs!

For what it is, it is a pretty much comprehensive collection of accessories for knitting and crocheting. I do like the pouch it came with, because, everything fits in there and still there is some space left for the crochet hook/s you are currently using for your project, and small scissors.

I'm new to knitting, but quickly becoming obsessed. I needed some stitch markers, I knew I needed a good sharp scissor, and I figured I needed some of the other bits in here, but didn't know which ones yet. It was quite affordable, so I went for it not expecting too much. It is great. I use the stitch markers and needle "stoppers" daily. The scissors are great. I now have tools for cables I hadn't even known I would need, too. The only thing that is fairly useless are the super cheap row counters. They are near impossible to turn. And, the case isn't the best. But, I wasn't expecting much, so there is that. I use a little bag I already had and it is perfect. Definitely glad I got this. It has ben really useful.

This really is everything you'll need for knitting or crochet except hooks/knitting needles and yarn. The assortment of tapestry needles is amazing.Each item came wrapped in plastic inside the pouch also wrapped in plastic. The pouch is a mint green, soft vinyl with a fabric lining and a sturdy looking zipper pull.The one thing I would change is to upgrade the stitch counters. These are pretty sad.
