My bad. I thought I was ordering ground cinnamon. I didn't - this is not ground. It is cut and sifted. Smelled great but as I had no use for it I gave it to a friend. Good quality, I'm sure, but not for us in this form.

Of the 5 varieties of cinnamon, Ceylon is the best. Outstanding flavor, the highest health benefits, and none of the toxins. This form (chipped bark) works the best for making cinnamon tea! I’d recommend throwing some fresh cracked peppercorns in the storage container with the cinnamon (maximizes the absorption in the body).

I bought 2 bags of this cinnamon to use for tea, and when I opened the package, was worried that it had no scent. I tried steeping in for tea, and also simmering it in water for half and hour and still does not taste or smell of cinnamon. This leads me to wonder what it actually is! I would not purchase this, as it cannot be returned. And most importantly, don't know what it is!Some reviews were fantastic, so it's possible this is old, and therefore less potent. But in that case, I should be allowed to return the product.

The actual product is great. The weights are short on every product I bought from this company. I purchased several pounds of spices to make chai. Somehow I came up short even though I knew my math was perfect. I have a math degree from MIT, so I'm pretty confident in my ability. Every single pound bag had 439 grams instead of 454. This equates to roughly 15.5 ozs, which I'm guessing the company decided they could round up to 16, call it a pound and boost their profit margins by skimming a little off the top. Very shady business practice. Also, the bags were heat sealed right up against the ziplock, making them rather difficult to open. Plus, the zip seals are so tight, they almost want to rip off the bag before letting go. I actually strained my rotator cuff a little from opening several bags in a row. Not likely to buy from this company in the future. Makes me wonder where else they are cutting corners and engaging in dishonest practices.

I purchased this cinnamon to make tea. It has no smell or taste.If they allowed returns I would return this product. Don't waste your money!!!

very light flavor need to use twice the product compared to other brands....
