The brushed gold caster is nice quality. I had read reviews that mentioned that the swivel of the wheels made it hard to screw caster into wood. I predrilled the hole with a 3/16” bit. I also could stabilize the swivel wheel with a small screwdriver placed in one of the three holes; this made turning the faster into the wood very easy. See pictures. I hope this helps.

I really like these casters and kick myself for waiting so long to buy them for two ottomans (ottomen?) I own. The ottomans aren't heavy, but they're awkward, and now are so much easier to move for use or for cleaning. These are handsome casters, so I don't mind at all that a portion is visible."Easy to install?" Well, yes, in that anybody can do it. But I'm knocking off two stars because the sturdy brass screw has a smooth, not slotted, head. The casters have to be installed by hand and those last few twists are really, really difficult. I had 8 in all (4 each on 2 ottomans) to install and got friction burns on my hands, no joke.

Great little brass casters. I put them on a mod chair with wooden legs so I can move it easily. The casters are a little squeaky, and not very maneuverable, but they don’t detract from the cool chair. A little silicone lubricant will clear up the squeak.

Not only is there no way to grip and screw the caster into place (without a huge struggle), but because the screw gets wider at the top, it’s impossible to get it flushed against the wood leg. Maybe it’s user error? Shouldn’t be so difficult.

Wheels feel high quality and really heavy/sturdy. Super easy to install, would definitely buy again.
