Is this a true cream color? I want to put it on a white wall and wondering if it will stand out enough. Thanks!

Yes, this is actually a TRUE cream. It will look nice on a white wall if it's a pure white. I love my purchase!

Does the hook this comes with work well, keep it up?

It doesn't come with a hook, it comes with a string for hanging

How do you keep the hanging string from sliding down the bar? Hot glue didn't even work for me.

I tied the hanging string further in on the bar which allowed me to hang it without the string sliding.
