I got spoiled with ones we gather and crack fresh ourselves. That process is a lot of work! So I thought I would cheat and try these lol. They are good but… they have a taste I’m just not quite figuring out… something maybe they rinse them in before packaging maybe? Not sure but they are just slightly … hmmmm… IDK?The pieces are smaller than I expected. But still large’ish. About a 1/4 piece or smaller of a whole nut. I will finish this bag but not sure if I will buy again? It’s a “maybe” … I think I’m just spoiled from having fresh cracked from our farm ones lol… so it’s probably just me …Also be aware too many in one sitting will cause digestion problems in the “Metamucil” kind of way lol. So limit your intake!

Put them in my smoothies. These were not as fresh as the black walnuts I bought in March, but were adequate.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this product.If you have never tasted black walnuts, I highly recommend you do not purchase this product. At least 95% of the negative reviews are from people who have never tasted black walnuts. It is unfair to give a product a negative review just because you do not like the taste when you have never tasted black walnuts before. If you have never tasted black licorice, then there is a very high possibility that you will not like it. Black licorice, at least in the United States, is not very popular. Even fewer people like the taste of black walnuts. Black walnuts have nothing in common with the traditional English walnuts, as far as taste.If you have a look online, you will find out that black walnuts have a husk. That green husk has to turn black and mushy, before it is removed. From there you will have a very hard shell. Then you have to remove the meat, which is not easy. The black mushy husk will turn your hands black if you do not use gloves. So think about it… Do you think you will like a nut which is covered in something gross black and mushy? I highly doubt it.If you’re new to black walnuts, I recommend you try and find a product which has black walnuts in it and taste it before you purchase raw black walnuts yourself. But it is not easy to find items which have black walnuts in them. Because… Quite simply… It is not a flavor that most people enjoy. I like black walnuts, but in moderation. Certainly I think that even people who like black walnuts before them in something like banana bread and so on.

I love black walnut over my yogurt! Although they were good and the price was right, they were less robust in flavor than others I’ve had.

The walnuts are fine, I guess. As mentioned in another review, the bag is not resealable because the reseal strip is only attached to one side of the bag. My biggest issue though is that when I was doing my measurements, I based them off of the second photo of the product that states there are 12 servings in the bag, whereas there are actually only 6. I guess it’s my fault for not doing the conversions, but do I feel like they should change that photo. Seems deceitful.

I purchased these from Amazon warehouse they are fresh and taste really good they also get rid of parasites in the body

I always have a hard time finding black walnuts and meaty one. These are meaty or big, not tiny pieces. I'll buy them again for sure.

I love to make chocolate chip cookies with them at Xmas time for an extra special taste. I grew up eating fruit cake made with black walnuts and love the unique flavour.

American Black walnuts are considerably milder than Canadian Black Walnuts. I was disappointed in the flavour.

Tasted terrible. I love black walnuts. These tasted rancid and just so bad.
