When we moved into our new house, our daughter decided last minute that she preferred a twin sized bed over her previous full size bed so we had to find a solution pretty quickly. With a million other purchases for a new home on our minds, we honestly didn't put much thought into the box spring going on her bed. She's 12 and very hard on things so while we would normally spend more money on something sturdy for her, we suspect a twin bed is just a temporary choice for her so we didn't want to invest.That being said, this mattress has served us well! If you're purchasing for a teenager that's hard on everything, it may not be the best choice for long term but for a little kid (where you know it's temporary) or a guest bed that isn't used often, it would be a great option!Was super easy to move (even without my husband home) and I was able to get it set up by myself. I'm average sized and the only work out I do is lifting my 9 month old, chasing my 3 year old and threatening my teenagers. I offered to mow the lawn but my husband thinks "If I could figure out how to start the mower..." means "GO MOW THE LAWN."If you're needing a mattress for a little kid or to fill a space, you can't go wrong here!

Great Price, fast delivery & a precision made product, well labeled & every part was a high quality finish, precision drilled & fit like a glove!I purchased the 5” deep, queen with the “quick snap” connectors & it was almost fun snapping it together… And as for the 8 Alan Screws, they included a cool little ratchet tool (which now resides in my tool box) to make them fast & simple.From the rounded corners to strong quality fabric cover this is that rare quality you seldom see anymore! I have been putting things together for many years and have fought through some decent assembly instructions and some horrible instructions. These instructions were so easy a toddler could put this together. Everything is numbered to match part to part and with directional arrows to show "right side up".Also, with a 5" box springs, we were slightly concerned about it being able to handle weight. However, I think you could park a car on it. It is very well made with tons of support. Couldn't be happier!

I bought this box spring as a support for a new bed and bed frame. The instructions were absolutely the worst! Just paying for ONE professional writer for these instructions would make everyone's life a lot easier. Once I finally did get it together, I realized this is a very strong box spring. My new mattress is a hybrid 12-inch mattress and the box spring is the perfect support, even at such a low profile. Downside #2 is that my frame is all metal with metal slats, so the box spring can move too easily. You might want to invest in a gripper pad, which I am currently searching for. Functionally, it's great and considering the price of hauling away stuff, having the delivery guys take away my old box spring was fantastic.

The Zinus 5" Smart Box Spring was the best choice we made. It's sturdy/ built to last as described and I won't have to replace it. The 5" was perfect, not too high,not too low. Just right for older people or anyone who need to get out of bed easily. Comes with it's own little tool for easy assembling also a plus.

Reliable and sturdy! I've assembled three of these for my boys and one for my wife and I, three years ago and they're still going strong! This one was for my father-in-law. The assembly was so simple that I don't even look at the directions anymore. I love the simplistic and rigid design. It makes it super light as well as super strong.

I thought it would be difficult to assemble but the instructions were very clear. I am using it to increase the height of my bed; love it

I would give a 5 star except that it is too big to fit my adjustable mattress frame which is the main reason i bought. Very easy to assemble. I'm using it in the guest bedroom because i hate returning stuff.

Have to hand it to the product engineers on this one. Extremely simple to put together. I wish all products were so simple.

This is a wonderful solid box Spring. It is easy to put together. I like the cover for it but no zipper. Light and easy to move once put together. I would recommend this. I am very happy with this product.

I ordered this because our stair design keeps me from getting queen-sized box springs into the bedroom, but so far, this boxspring is the best one I've ever had. My last was a split box--basically two half-sized boxsprings. It wasn't well made and within a few years, creaked at every move. The all metal design of this one means it's solid and noiseless. Someone else here mentioned that their mattress no longer sagged--which they didn't even realize was a boxspring problem until they bought this one. We had the same experience--we were considering also replacing the mattress as it felt worn out, but it's much more solid now with the better support. So the couple extra hundred dollars we spent is saving us far more.Assembly was very well thought out, with clear instructions despite being pictures only. All parts were marked, and all necessary tools included. It took about an hour at a relaxed pace. IKEA should poach whoever did their technical writing.

Assembly went without a hitch and it's given my bed the extra height I wanted it to have. Doesn't make any creaky noise or anything like that. Kinda cool and really convenient that these can come in a shippable box.
