Quality Rack but crappy instructions. I recommend
Great quality. Seems sturdy. Instructions suck however . The included instruction card shows a lot of big hands, bad detail of parts. The scanned barcode instructions are a bit better but they are at double speed which makes no sense and again lots of big hands in the way. That being said, figured it out and it’s a great rack at the price point. Spring hold down strap is strong.

This rack versatile installation features are it's only selling point!
This rack is made of a metal that easily bends under the load of a Bafang M625 battery. I've tried to doctor-up the rack by adding reinforcement mechanisms using large zip ties and nylon straps. But I'm not too optimistic about this rack lasting another bump in the road since the last firstrun fail. (waiting on ebike parts before trying again) In addition to this pending failure of a rack. There's easily strippable nuts on the locations that matter. The legs are prone to bending under the weight of a ~12lbs Bafang ebike Smile battery. So this rack will not survive the 70lbs plus rated weight limit it's touting in it's specs. This rack is installed on my full suspension mountain bike that I use as a commuter and not as an off-roader. So, I have a 350 lbs rated rear spring to give me a softer ride with me being ~220bs. My point to the last bits of this message? If this rack can't handle the softer buffered jars of a full suspension bike. It certainly wouldn't last the hard jarrings of my hard tail with front suspension. This rack is a major fail. For being difficult to put together and for for it's inferior material. In my strong opinion this rack needs to be made out of pure steel to be of good use. Not some kind of soft lightweight alloy. Even the cheapest steel being used as the sole material would probably make this rack useable. This rack's price is not the reason for it's inferiority. Because I have an older rack on my hybrid that is lightweight but stronger that cost me around the same prices as this rack. That has stood up to be fully loaded down with groceries and even loaded down with my Banfang M625 kit coming from Fedex riding over bumps for about 3 miles or more. And that rack has not failed in it's over 5 years of me having it. However, this rack is an absolute disaster waiting to happen.

Very Nice and Easy to Install
When I purchased the bike rack, I was worried it might not be good enough. I read all the reviews and the one and two-star reviews left me wondering if I made a mistake. Once the rack arrived, I assembled it and put it on my bike. It fit perfectly and the saddlebags fit perfectly. I don't know how some people have problems, but installing wasn't difficult at all.

Bike Seat Rack
No back reflector for the seat rack nor did it come with the tools to install like the other bike seat racks I saw on Amazon

best mount for bikes with no compatibility and with springs
bought this for my ebike conversion, needed one that avoided the seat post(because of clearance and the fact the seat is on the other side of rear suspension pivot)obviously had to DIY it, firstly because I had no mount for a cargo rack on the frame, secondly because I have a 29" rimwith some aluminum flat bar and a drill press and spare bolts I was able to make a rack mount so rigid I could sit a medium person on itI had to modify the rear reflector mount as my light kit had a wire that comes out the middle, but that is why you need a dremel if you DIY

What a pain to assemble, and no adequate instructions!
This thing was a nightmare for me. It took me hours to fight the thing before I finally arrived at a complete installation. The instructions were useless as the pictures and commentary were poor and childish. It is obvious that the person who designed both had no actual experience with the assembly at all. There was no indication that 2 different Allen wrenches were needed and neither was supplied. There were no mentions that 2 different metric sockets would be needed, and not supplied.Their explanations of assembly frequently included the term "appropriate position and secured". Finding the appropriate position of anything on this thing was a nightmare. You can't find any "appropriate" position without the rack on the bike. I found it impossible to approximate these positions without hours of trial and error, I had to stop at one point out of sheer anger and frustration over the inability to approximate any position that I thought could possibly work without the thing locked in form. The hardware was of sufficient quantity but without the acknowledgment of the special tools needed for the installation to succeed, it was guesswork until those discoveries were made.I have not used the rack, nor ridden the bike at this point, and it's reliability appears to be OK when I got some foot-pounds of torque on all of the joints.I was staying away from the frame clamping seat-pole models to retain the low seat position. I cannot mount something that high seated, as I am not a very tall person and require my feet to have immediate access to the ground for stability.Be forewarned that the multitude of joints and manipulations of positioning before complete installation with this unit was a nightmare for me and I will never attempt one these attachments again. It is installed and the height of the saddle was not raised, which is why I bought it, but unless you like infuriating frustration for a few hours and enjoy being foiled by puzzles get one that clamps on the saddle pole of the bike. It was relatively inexpensive, but if there were not the demands of saddle height this erector set of a bike rack would have been returned out of aggravating frustration after 30 minutes of attempted installation.I purchased a metal frame mount bar because it was not mentioned that it came with one. It is included so don't waste the money like I did, because the information on this unit was inadequate at point of sale.Like I said, whoever put this show together has never had to deal with buying it nor installing it.
