Jarrow Formulas BCAA Branched Chain Amino Acid Complex, Promotes Sports Nutrition and Post-Workout Recovery*, 120 Caps

I was diagnosed with pre diabetes at 48 (four years ago) and was very overweight. I took this VERY SERIOUSLY and changed my entire lifestyle including cutting carbs and adding daily exercise to my routine. I have slowly lost a significant amount of weight and dropped my a1-c to a normal level, yes, it CAN be done. I added this supplement to my diet about six months ago and was at a stabilized weight but have now lost an additional five pounds which I wasn't even trying to do. I ride an hour on a stationery bike daily and have been able to push for faster speeds and more tension. I also do yoga and light weight training and have noticed other changes in my muscle tone after adding this so I'm assuming it helps. I also take l arginine and collagen Peptides. I only take 2-3 capsules a day of these bcaa and they are very normal size and easy to swallow compared to other brands. For price, quality and quantity I'd definitely recommend :)

So I bought a bottle of this stuff as I was planning to ramp up my workouts and do more heavy lifting. I'm a small female so heavy to me is not heavy to most people, but that's besides the point. I only took them a couple of weeks but noticed significantly more energy after an intense cardio workout which normally leaves me feeling drained. I'd like to think it's my stamina but honestly when you get past 30 stamina is pretty difficult to maintain. I'm definitely not dedicated enough to attribute the energy to stamina. That is the first effect I knew they were doing something.The second is that I ended up rupturing my achilles. It was a pathetic push off where I felt and audibly heard the pop in the back of my ankle. The orthopedist that evaluated me confirmed my tendon was missing and scheduled me for surgery. I was told to stop taking all supplements so I did not take any of these pills for three days up to my surgery.When I arrived home same day of surgery, and was alert enough about managing my medication on my own I started taking these. The doctor sent me home with 50 pills of hydrocodone and I only needed to take it for no more than three and a half days. On the fourth night the pain had decreased significantly and I slept through the whole night without being bothered by my pain. The fourth day I took one dose of the hydrocodone since I needed to move around significantly that day, but did not need the narcotics from that point forward. I honestly feel like these pills helped speed my healing process as the only time I felt pain was from the pressure of the cast on the stitches. I'm going to continue taking them until I can walk without pain. I'll update this review to document total recovery time.

Buying this product again because When i was using it earlier i felt my muscles are less sore and the definition is obvious! It is a great product for sure which is why i am ordering it again after a while as nothing else worked As jarrow did! I also used to take it with deer anteler before or after work out but then i staryed yaking the deer antler alone to see if it is the deeer anteler or the jarrow BCAA which made a difference but then i realized its the combination of both. So now i am going back to combine the deer anyeler and BCAA to get the old reault.

I've been using this product for the past 3.5 years, been buying it from wholefoods for $15.99 but recently started buying it from amazon which is a great deal for $10. I use 2 pills before and 2 pills after workout. This is going to sound funny and cocky to some people but I workout 3 hours every single day, my workouts are insanely heavy and fast and believe it or not I never get sore, sometimes I get sore on legs but it doesnt last too long. This BCAA does amazing work. I get the same results from all other BCAA so its not only this bcaa but the value on this is amazing and it is from a trusted brand. On top it has glutamine in it which is amazing. My diet and everything is on point just to mention.

I came across this supplement in a Fibromyalgia forum and figured I'd give it a try. I have both Fibromyalgia and Polymyositis, and this has helped tremendously in my ability to exercise again (although it's still a struggle to push past the fatigue). I've been able to use the weight machine again (carefully), and am up to 3 miles a day (sometimes more) on the treadmill. I could not do either of these things before, as my muscles would continuously seize up or shut down (not to mention it hurt like crazy).Don't know how it works or why, but I couldn't care less because it WORKS. BOOyeah! :o)UPDATE: I ran out of this before I had a chance to order more. I found some locally at a GNC and although it cost a little more, I went ahead and bought it because I was afraid I'd lose my momentum on the workouts. A few days later my muscles were seizing up and I was so stiff and sore I had to cut back severely on my reps. Another day or two and I was forced to stop the workouts completely.It took an extra day or so for the bulb to come on that it could be the supplement (since I hadn't actually stopped taking BCAA, just switched brands). Seems the Jarrow Formula contains Glutamine and B6 which were both missing from the GNC brand. Although I can't be certain, I'm fairly sure that the Glutamine was the important missing ingredient as I already take a B6 supplement. Hope this helped!

They provide great Branch Chain Amino Acids that I need for optimum performance in the gym and just for my general health. There are many products out there, but I found that for the money, count, and quality, I suggest this brand for the beginner and for the hard-core gym rat. I stopped using my long-time product and switched to these some time ago and I was pleasantly surprised and never looked back.
