The YELUN Solid Brass Garden Hose Repair Connector worked very well to replace the crimp on the hose ends, which leaked out the back of the crimp.The barbed fitting slid easily into the 5/8" hose.The hose clamp worked very well and did not strip or slip with all the hand torque I could apply with a screwdriver when tightening.There were no leaks after installing.One issue to be aware of is that there are two separate pieces to the female connector, and one needs to be careful that the round gasket is properly located before tightening it on. In my case, the gasket fell behind the threaded end because it's too loose, but this is easily remedied if you are first aware of the issue. See the attached picture.

Successfully repaired two 3/4" rubber hoses with these, one leaking at the hose-bib connector and the other from a puncture. It was easier than expected to make the repairs, and both are now watertight.PROS:- Quick and easy. I cut the leaky part of the hose with a utility knife, sprayed the brass connector with WD-40, and inserted it into the hose. Then I tightened the stainless-steel clamp with a screwdriver. Lastly, based on other reviews, I also swabbed anti-seize paste on the threaded ends so that I wouldn't have trouble disconnecting them in the future. Once I learned the process on the first hose, the second repair took just 5 minutes.- Thoughtfully designed. I bought another "Amazon's Choice" repair kit along with this one, and compared them. They were similar in quality of materials and build, but this one had two advantages: 1) the steel clamps don't have a protruding end that can scratch your hand when using the repaired hose; and 2) the rings on the brass connector are more numerous and sharper-angled, which provides, I think, a tighter, more leakproof seal.- Low price. Way less expensive than replacing the hose.CONS:- None that I've noticed so far.

Parts fit both hoses I purchased this for. Installation is pretty straightforward, but would like to see some instructions added into the packaging, primarily I was unsure how far back the clamp/strap should sit from the end of the hose. Other than that, the replacement hose ends look and work great.

These are strong, but the fit and finish is a bit lacking, and the clamp nut size is odd. I bought these hoping the insert would be a little smaller, and it is, because the last set I bought was larger, and extremely difficult to install in standard garden hose. These work fine, though they have some sharp edges, and they don't explain why they come with various different shape washers, which I could not figure out.

This item is well made and easy to install when repairing the garden hose.

Very well built and east to install

I am a gardener and use my hoses daily to water my gardens. The original connectors leaked terribly. I tried the Yelun hose connectors from Amazon, they are easy to install, work great, and don’t leak. They are a great value.

These fittings are great. They are solid copper so that you can run over with your car and not ruin it which is what happened to my original hose fitting.
