Flaked and rubbed off
I chose this product because I was hoping it would help me achieve the drippy black goo effect that I needed for this costume, but was never able to wear or possibly apply it correctly. The first image is from my initial make-up test. I applied it very thickly and without a ton of care. You can see it already started to flake and this was literally just me applying the paint and then taking selfies in my bathroom, so not a ton of wear. I assumed it was because I had applied it too thickly perhaps, and made notes for next time. The second pic is the first convention that I wore this to. I took more care when applying it to my face and had primer on underneath, but it still started to flake. The goo on my neck and arms was achieved by just pouring the paint over my neck and limbs in the bathtub and letting it drip down my arms naturally. I sealed it with a pretty expensive Kryolan fixing spray and thought that would help, but it was still VERY flaky and I was that clichรฉ body paint rookie mess that you don't want near your costume or your artwork at the con, haha. The third pic is from a second con, on my way home. I had applied it more thinly and used a brush to paint on all the drippy shapes, but it still flaked as much as it did at the first con. I used Sephora primer and the Kryolan fixing spray on my face, but only the body paint and fixing spray on my arms. I'm out of ideas to salvage this and am now searching for a different body paint product to use for my next wear in a few weeks.I will note that some other reviews mentioned they had better luck with this product if they mixed it with their regular make-up foundation or a body lotion, but I wouldn't be able to do that for this costume because 1) I need the color to be as pure, dark, and opaque a black as possible, and foundation would dilute both the color and texture. 2) This isn't an all-over application, so I can't just rub it on. I'm acknowledging these two points because this might be specific to my costume needs and the black color, which is why I still gave the product 3 stars even though it didn't work for me.That said, I'm not sure it would be possible to still get the coverage needed if someone was buying the black paint for an all-over application by mixing it with lotion and applying it thinly. In the first pic, the initial make-up test, you can see that I applied it very thinly around my eyes, and as a result it's much more sheer. This is something that I imagine would be less important if you were trying to paint yourself into a green troll or a red devil or something and still wanted some natural gradation in that color (eg., lighter on your cheekbones, perhaps). So if you're not looking to be completely pitch-black and are okay with some sheerness, it might be okay.It also didn't stain my skin and was fairly easy to remove (though I did go through a ton of wipes in the process), which is notable for such a thick and heavily pigmented black. It didn't stain my tub, either, though it did stain the plastic shower curtain liner.

Easy to apply green face and body paint.
Using a brush makes the job easier and putting on a primer first gives good results.

Good coverage!
I had pretty good success with this! I used a primer on my skin before applying the color, which I also had added some of my regular foundation to. I used a foundation brush for application. I had to be sure not to apply it too thick - a few thin layers did the trick. Wore this to a big Halloween party for a succubus/she-devil costume and got lots of compliments for my commitment to the color red. ๐

Its cool
It's good makeup. The gray looks blue when I put it on my face so I have to mix white in to get the desired shade but other than that, I'd recommend it.

Doesn't rub off
This spread very decently and didn't rub or flake off. I used make-up remover and coconut oil first and then warm water and soap to wash off. No skin staining. I'd use it again.

Poor product, even for the price
UPDATE: I tried this pant out a third time, this time with the brand of primer specific to the paint, vs another brands body paint primer. MASSIVE difference. I didn't melt or flake hardly at all, and it stayed for HOURS. Invest in the Mehron primer and you won't be dissapointedCons: it creases quickly, and flakes a few minutes after drying. If you use a primer/setting product you can delay the flaking but not forever. Stays better on faces and hands vs other parts of the body since it is more water soluble than oil soluble. Don't expect this to last more than an hour, and only if you're constantly touching upPros: it's cheap, and it surprisingly doesn't stain. It washed out of everything I got it on with very little effort. The photos I took here were just after application and you can see they are still pretty terrible. If you want to look good in anything other than heavily edited photos I'd suggest just buying a higher quality paint

Works great with their thinner for airbrush
Nice strong color, went through the airbrush well, felt very light on the skin. Wish they had a color pqck instead of buying individually though

No seal!
I dislike the fact there was no seal on this product anywhere. It's hard to have complete confidence that a bottle of liquid with no seal was not tampered with. I will not be using this product for this reason.

Came in open and all over my other packages
I would have loved to use this as it looked like it worked well, though I'm sad that it came in open. So I guess money down the drain.

Great paint!
This is great paint! A nice matte finish, doesn't flake, covers well, and comes off easily.
