Works just fine
Our dog loves running around the woods. She already contracted lyme disease and had it treated. Since the lyme disease, we changed up our flea and tick treaments. We first went with the big brand name, then found a new brand last year with the same active ingredients, now we found this one.TevraPet Activate II Flea and Tick Prevention for Dogs is the same as the big brand at a much lower price. I held off submitting my review until I had a chance to really give this a try. Our dog gets to the woods everyday, and there are ticks there, lots of them. We have given her the second dose and after todays trek through the woods, we checked her for ticks as we do everyday, and nothing. We applied this yesterday early morning, and this evening we gave her a bath. No skin rashes, no ticks, no side effects. We are very happy with TevraPet Activate II, and we love the value for the price. We practically get the big brand with all of the protection in this product. We give TevraPet Activate II Flea and Tick Prevention for Dogs 5 big fat stars.

Just as good as advantage II
I have several dogs, so flea control can be a little pricey. I was using Advantage II for my dogs, which works great, but it is little pricey for only 3 or if your lucky 4. I was looking for something just as effective and less costly when I found this. This stuff works great for fleas and ticks! I typically apply it every 3 weeks for the more active flea months as opposed to every 4 weeks just to keep it working better. The only con I have found is the applicator. It can be a little messy applying with the way the applicator is. Other than that for the price and the amount, this stuff can't be beat. I see no difference in efficacy between it and Advantage and for me it blows Frontline out of the water.

Hard to apply
You have to be careful how you open it and make sure you’re in the right place when you put it

Working as well as $$$ product, only issue is the packaging
I've used this for 6+ months now on two dogs and it has worked as well as the more expensive big name product. Dogs have had no issue with insects, and I've seen mosquitoes try to land but instantly take off, and the only ticks I've found on them are *dead* and in their fur not on their skin, no fleas whatsoever. My only minor issue is the packaging. The individual vials come attached together and the perforations don't separate easily, and then those individual vials require scissors to open and dispense the liquid, often requiring two or more scissor cuts.Overall though, the "cons" are minor compared to the price savings for a product that works as well as the far more expensive big name version.

Major used to like it.
I've ordered this several times and it worked great. I don't know what happened this time. Did they change it? Perhaps. But, it no longer works for us.

Keeps flies away!
Finally something to keeps the flies off. If you have a long haired dog, I have a big Newfoundland, the biting flies like to get under their hair, bite & lay eggs. I had a 225 pound Newfoundland that got a bite under her tail, the poison from the bite got into her spinal fluid & killed her in 24 hours. Apparently this is not a rare thing with long haired dogs. She was only 2 years old. My current Newfoundland is now 3 & has never had a fly on her. I used to use the horse fly collars but can't get them anymore. So when I saw this one spot treatment keeps flies off I had to try it. It works! The flies are horrendous this year!

Used to work well.
We have been buying TevraPet Activate II Flea and Tick Prevention for Dogs for over six months. We live in Alabama and needed to find affordable and thorough protection for our four dogs. This was working well except for a little drying of our one dog's skin. The latest box of eight hasn't been as effective. My dogs are scratching non-stop and two of my dogs are highly allergic to fleas and began getting bald spots on their tails. What happened with this once-good formula?
