GOLDTOE Men's Windsor Wool Over-The-Calf Dress Socks, 3-Pairs

Man, I love these socks. Feel great, look great, stay up well.

What kind of socks a person likes to wear is purely a matter of personal preference, but I've tried a lot of different types of hosiery over the years, these have turned out to be just about perfect for me. Like all Gold Toe socks, they wear like iron, but they also look and feel great. They are definitely the dressy type made for wearing to the office, but I have found them so comfortable that I also wear them on the weekend, too. While they aren't fluffy like athletic socks, they are still pretty cushy - i.e., not the thin type like a lot of dress socks made for men out of nylon. They have a fairly high wool content, which means they keep your feet dry in the summer and insulated/warm in the winter, but they also have just the right amount of stretch to go on easily and to stay up on your leg. These are definitely on the long side (over the calf), and will come up to an inch or two below your knee, which is where I like them so that they don't roll down on you. I bought both black and blue colors, and after at about 10 to 15 washes, they have proved to be totally colorfast, and have not faded in the least. I highly recommend these as a top quality product.

These socks are perfect for all weather. The wool blend helps to wick away moisture; give the socks a comfortably compressed fit and long wearing fabric. The Navy is a true dark Navy. Would give 5 * but they do tend to pill at the heel and toe - not a big issue but does need to be shaved off. Good value for the price.

I have been wearing these socks for a couple of months now. The wool dress socks are the exact weight for wearing when it is not summer, but you are not hiking in the winter. There is a "thread" in the top of the sock that will keep it up during the day, but will not cut off circulation. I just worry what would happen if that "thread" breaks. So far that has not happened. They wash well, do not shrink and do not wear quickly. Definitely worth the price! Buy these socks, not GoldToe's cotton dress socks (see my review of those).

These socks are tall enough to rise above my calves so the elastic sits on the narrower part of my leg. Shorter socks usually reach the widest part of my calves, which means that once the elastic weakens, it slips down to that narrower section.

i really like the material and i can see these lasting for a long while. these fitted as expected, ive always thought i have wide knees so it's not really comfortable for me personally to wear them over my knees but thats no problem if i fold them just below it. these socks are pretty comfy to wear and stay up very well so i'm not constantly pulling them up

The size may be “large” but once you wash it, even in lukewarm water, and once you dry it, even in low heat, it shrinks at least two sizes. Also, not as thick as the other GoldToe socks.
