Bugs in My Hair!

My son loves this book and nearly all books from this author.

I bought this book because in pre-school my daughter brought home head lice a lot of times. I would have the mother louse lay her eggs on MY HEAD.! It was awful! The washings, the putting blankets, coats and hats into black plastic bags and the feelings of shame.This book has it all! It brings all those memories back to me. When my daughter has her first child, I will give the book to her. Imagine this as the first book given to a grandchild!It is funny and makes you itch.

I have been itching to write a review of this book. First the illustrations are humorous and colorful. When plagued by lice besides getting treatment this book will be a good tool to deal with a situation that is total void of humor. I need to get to know other works by David Shannon, this work has great promise.

We run a Lice Clinic of America and have this book on hand for the kids to read while getting deloused and they LOVE it. It is a cute book and makes the whole process better. This is my favorite Lice themed book and just love anything by David Shannon

I liked some of his other books better but it was fine. The illustrations were great and the kids in my classes gave me Bug stories of their own without any shame attached which really is what David Shannon was aiming for.

My 3 year old loves this book! She wants to read it over and over again. Now when I itch my head she asks if I have head lice. This book is fantastic, especially if you have ever had to deal with head lice. I really like this book and was surprised by how much my daughter loves it!

Super cute book! Great for kids!Kids don't need to have lice to read this book.Highly recommend this book & highly recommend going to a professional service to get lice treatments.

Didn’t like that it was about lice .

Kids love it. I'm a year 3 teacher with a serious bug problem in the class. Read it to the kids and they all borrow it from the book corner to read now. Helped normalise a potentially embarrassing situation.

Another excellent Shannon book. Debunks some of the idiotic secrecy around lice.
