Have had this light for about a week now and extremely satisfied. Had an ugly 2 bulb fluorescent before and this is way more light and looks fantastic. Didn’t even know it would have a remote, and I honestly do use the night mode at night when watching tv. Could have had better instructions than photos, because most people are not confident with electrical, but I did install it myself and works great.

I like the design and initially worked well, and here we are a year later and it no longer turns on reliably. Sometimes if you leave the switch on it will turn on in an hour or so, or just flicker. Typical import quality

Recieved all whiteversion, light 42" quick, Quality seems good Aluminum and metal quite sturdy. Instruction OK, I'm pretty handy in all aspects of construction, took me about an hour. Remote seems good, Cool and Warm dimmable settings worked. guess they'll be a problem if you lose or if remote gets lost, wont be about to control. wonder if we can get a replacement just in case. Overall happy, let's if it'll hold up in the long run.

I'd give more stars but there's a problem I didn't expect. (I'll see if it get's better over the next week or so and change the rating accordingly.)Light is relatively easy to assemble. I had it assembled and mounted within 30 mins. There are four rectangles that have a plastic diffuser on the inner side of each. inside of the hollow square metal frames is essentially a 5050 strip LED light. The three rectangles all plug into a coupler from the power supply.The light DOES NOT dim from a wall switch. You must use the included remote control to dim the unit. The remote allows you to change the color temperature as well which is nice to get the warmer light as the default is very daylight/blue. The light does not remember it's color temp or dim settings after turning off/on from a wall switch.I like the way it looks but the thing I wasn't expecting is that the entire first floor of my house smells like a skunk. I'm not sure what the odor is from. Perhaps the plastic wrap that was wrapped around each rectangle. (Which was the hardest part about assembly was getting that off the rectangles.)The odor is so off-putting. I can smell it in other rooms on the first floor of my house. I hope it fades quickly.Over-all I would give more stars because it does look unique and fits my room and the application that I am looking for.

We needed a ceiling light for our den/entertainment room. While the measurements were very clearly advertised at 34", it seemed larger than it really is when the light is mounted on the ceiling. The proportions of fixture to living area in the advertisement picture are way different than the proportions when you are looking at it live. My den is 25'x17' and the light looks small. Having said that, the light it emits is enough to light up the entire room. I love the three temperature choices too. The unit construction is a bit cheap and, when installing the unit, I had to handle it more gingerly than I would like as it felt like it would snap if I shook it too much. Also, the electronics are just loose in the housing. Of course, no one will be handling it after it is mounted, so it should be fine (unless we have another west coast earthquake). Some type of base plate should be included in future revisions to cover a double gang electrical box. You can see in the picture that, since the mounting bracket only has two holes, it had to be mounted to one side of the box, leaving the other side wide open. I will now have to create a semi-circular cover. In summary, you get what you pay for and this is probably worth the price, even though it needs a couple of improvements. Overall, it is a good light with some nice features and good remote control.

I am a seasoned do it yourself homeowner and Ià have owned homes for 20+ years. This light is the most difficult light I have ever installed. The hanging plate/bracket is cheap and designed poorly. The plate causes the light to sag down and is not stable . There are limited installation instructions. Home owner beware!!!!!

Great design, but cheaply built. Very flimsy and sags on one side, and needed to be propped up between layers. Also, remote stopped working already, so functionality is lost.
