A good computer to do lots of stuff
I had the computer for a while and its been great and all but one thing i dont like about it is the battery life. After a few hours, i have to put it on a charger and especially when im doing some things online i have to use a charger to charge it. I only get like 4 to 5 hours if i keep it on for that long. But the screen quality could be a bit better but its passable. But its a budget computer and you can upgrade the ram and memory thankfully but cant put a video chip in it since its intergraded into the motherboard. But other than that it been great and ill still will keep it for a while.

Nice laptop as long as you get rid of the bloatware
I've read all of the 1-star reviews stating overheating problems and running really slow and my skepticism was correct. Unfortunately, the reason why it's a decent price is the sponsorship from McAfee non-antivirus. It's a bunch of bull, Windows defender will do the same thing for free without compromising performance. McAfee comes preinstalled running in the background using all your memory to collect data for advertising and eventually will harass you to pay for a subscription. Fortunately, however, it can be removed easily by going in to control panel>Uninstall programs right-clicking and uninstalling. After that, you have a really nice pc for a decent price. Also, the 1080p will make a huge difference from the 720p. The screen is still high quality but adjusting from an iPad or phone you may notice the difference, slightly sliiightly pixelated. If you're looking to play some games or watch movies id recommend spending the little extra on a 1080.

A very affordable laptop and ideal for school
After 2 weeks of having it i can say you get what u paid for, literally you must carry its battery everywhere since it runs low pretty quickly after a full charge. the screen isn’t very bright but its ok. The keyboard is a bit challenging to get used it to since it ain’t backlit and its numeric keypad is an unnecessary addition which makes the whole keyboard very confusing to get your finger familiarized ( specially transitioning from a mac’s keyboard style) The whole laptop body's material feels a bit cheap plastic but lightweight overall. it might not have an intel processor but its still capable of carrying out simple basic-multimedia tasks and school stuff.. the fan might get a bit loud during a prolonged period while running basic apps ( like itunes) but so far so good

Good laptop
I have had HP computers for several years. The last laptop I bought has been good but was always extremely slow in starting up, printing and visiting web sites. I decided to try this one out and I absolutely love it. It starts up within a few seconds once started. Prints nearly twice as fast as my old one and does the surfing very quickly. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice PC that works well.

Terrible terrible screen and trackpad. Terrible setting options.
Horrible battery life can’t get me through the short school day.Pros - fast after removing the mcafee antivirus and other unnecessary programs. I wish they would leave it alone and let you download what you want. It asked me to rate touchscreen. Need to update bc this is not a touchscreen nor did I want one. Slim and lightweight especially for a 15.6 inch. Almost sleek. Ease of use. I like the adapter plugging in on the left based on how my desk and cord is set up.Cons - I am coming from a MacBook Air so take that into consideration. Screen broke and I had to have a computer for my final in a few days. This in no way is apple comparable. The fact one review states that just makes me laugh. Literally it is like comparing a new iPhone to a 1990 Nokia flip phone. Yes graphics are that bad. I had originally purchased a basic $300 hp from Walmart to replace my Mac in a hurry. My daughter talked me into giving that one to her and getting me something better so I bought this one. Other than being faster than the $300 laptop (especially on initial setup) I really don’t notice much difference. The screen on this is crap as is the trackpad. You have to push pretty hard to make a selection and it’s very awkward. It took me about 10 tries to even select my country when I was setting it up. The cheap 300 hp was better there. Bottom line I would not have paid $500 bucks for something this low budget. I don’t look at the keys much so I don’t mind if the contrast is bad but for the price they should at least have the backlight keyboard and better display. Settings are little to none. I thought I could adjust normal display settings but all I could change was the brightness. It was turned up 100%. Probably why some complain about the battery draining. I set it to 30% and it helped the screen appearance slightly.. there is a contrast setting but it is weird and very limited as to what you can change, you have to choose a color ??? Do not waste your money on this. I will be returning.

Great low to mid level laptop
I've had this computer for a week and for the price it is a great laptop. This is a low to mid level computer that is good for basic business tasks that can be done in a web browser or simple business programs that you download and install. I would not recommend this laptop for heavy gaming because that is not the intent of this laptop. Overall, a great buy

Awesome Purchase
Just recieved it. Fresh out the box, it's sleek. Light weight and slim but has a nice sized screen. Upon turning it on, there's a computer voice walking you through setup (wireless, windows setup). NOTE: This computer DOES NOT come with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc). I decline McAfee antivirus... I personally think that software jacks up your computer on purpose in order to get you to upgrade their software. That's just me. Anyway, so far so good. This laptop is nice! It only had Microsoft edge so I downloaded Chrome as my internet browser. It took one second and I was browsing the net. It's super fast. I can't speak to the battery life because I just started using it but I'm incredibly happy with this buy. If anything changes I'll edit this comment but so far so good.Edit Nov 2 update - Still no problems, battery life is good when not plugged in. Still extremely happy with this purchase.
