I like them for cut cucumbers, & onions. I use the square kind often for butter and cheese that has been opened. We don’t use plastic bags and these are a great alternative.

Very handy and versatile . These were a gift. I already have a set and they were admired. Not only good for covering cut food items, but I also use them to cap unfinished beverages in a glass.

This is the second set of the huggers I've purchased. I've been using them as lids for pet food cans and I love them! I'm able to get a sort of vacuum seal with these lids by pushing out a bit of air before I seal the lid, and it seems to keep the food fresher than the regular snap-on lids. I purchased another set so that I wasn't always having to wash my current ones. I got the set with the small yellow hugger for my mom, as it was advertised it would work with cut bananas. (She frequently eats 1/2 of a banana each day.). When I opened the set of huggers I found that the yellow one is a bit too big to be used for the cut end of the banana. So I took one star off for that. The lids themselves are a bit tricky to wash due to their shape, but can go into the dishwasher which is great. Overall, I'm really happy with these, given how I use them. (I still haven't tried them on cut fruits and veggies yet, so can't speak to how well they do with those.)

I have only used a couple of them but so far I am very happy. The varied sizes ensure that whatever I need to 'hug' will fit. I also use the butter hugger and love it.

Don't think any avocado huger will work due to different size of avocados.

They fit nicely on several standard sized cans and do a good job of keeping things sealed in the can fresh. They are easier to put on than those silicone covers as well as easier to remove. I will buy more in the future as they work well and hold up to use quite well.

I saw this and thought someone is going to make millions on this idea. Unfortunately the execution is not everything I had hoped. I got these, mainly, to keep a block of cheese good. The cheese still has plenty of space in the "cheese holder" to reach the air -- it is not a smug fit. So I might as well keep the cheese in a plastic bag -- no difference in the amount of air reaching the cheese so it goes moldy at the same rate (yes we eat block cheese slowly). However, the butter holder is smug and very good.

EDIT:I've since purchased two more sets as gifts. They have been in constant use since I bought them and they've held up well with no tears, no retained odours, and no problems from tossing them into the dishwasher. 10/10. I will probably buy more for Christmas gifts.-----These are very handy.They fit a steel can cover (beans/peas/etc) so I've used them on open cans that will be used so soon that they don't need to be stored in a proper container.Excellent for half an onion or Apple

Generally effective in keeping the avocado from getting brown.

My wife loves these, they do help keep the cut side of veggies fresh for the next use. Work very well and seem sturdy enough for extended use. Been using a few months now without issue.
