Kona Cotton Poppy Red, Fabric by the Yard

I gave this a low star review because of how it was shipped to me.15 yards should be on a bolt not sloppily folded and a loose 1 1/2 yard hunk wadded in the corner. The bag had a hole in it and there was a dirty smudge on the fabric. I know Hancock fabric has better shipping clerks than the one that packed my order.Someone removed the bolt and shoved this into a defective plastic wrapper. With the bolt gone there was no support for the 15 yards of fabric and the bag ripped.Fabric is perfect color and weight. I just wish there was norre respect shown to the fabric and myself, the customer.Subee

I love Kona cotton for quilting. The weight and durability is terrific, does not bleed, the price is a bargain! I would give 5 stars.My only disappointment is that the colors do not always match the Kona swatch color chart, making online buying iffy (tho convenient and helpful when your local store does not carry the colors).I recently got this steel gray in two different orders over a month apart (fabric.com and then amazon), so different dye lots of course but same brand. And, as you can see, this shipment was a much darker gray than the previous one or the color swatch! Other colors I have ordered are either a match or darker or lighter than the swatch.It’s a great fabric (and real Kona on amazon) but just know you might not get exactly what color/tone match you need, and be sure to order more than you need for your project because no two dye lots or bolts will be the same (which is true of any fabric, but hopefully they are closer than this example).

Would not hesitate to buy again. Washed and dried beautifully - even in very hot water. Nice weight without being too heavy/stiff or thin. Very soft. Being cotton it was wrinkled out of the dryer but ironed easily. The color is perfect if you're looking for a neutral that's not too yellow or grey.

This is excellent quality fabric. I ordered 10 yards and it came on a bolt. There was no fading of color and no flaws. The cotton is a nice heavy crisp cotton, perfect for mask making or quilts.

I have used this product in several different colors on mask projects. It works well as a liner and also as the front of the mask.

Hands down worst cut of fabric I have ever gotten. The selvage was cut off and don’t get me started on getting it to square. Buy somewhere else

Fabric delivered in excellent condition. I would have preferred to have it delivered on a bolt as my previous order because it would have less wrinkles and was easier to cut for embroidery.
