Plastic curtain
Very good but very thin. Could do to be thicker and then would not blow around so easily.

Summer Door Curtain
The curtain reminded me of childhood holidays in caravan and they did keep flys from getting into the house, my only gripe is unlike the old style ribbons which were a thick solid plastic and needed a gale force wind to move them the slightest breeze had them fluttering all over the place like Sunday school trips where streamers were hung out the bus windows, they were a bit of a nuisance when they got rained on as they all stuck together. I really do like it maybe for nostalgic reasons, my only wish is they had been made of a heavier type plastic then I would have given them a 5

fly screen
i think they are the cheapest and most effective

Too flimsy
Previously had a mesh covering with snap close magnets that attached to door frame. The idea of the coloured strips is good, bit any wind at all blows the strips in all directions and they sometimes get caught on exterior light switches, so not very effective.

Door Curtain
I know it is old fashioned but it works. Not had a fly problem in the house since we put this up. Arrived quickly, easy to install and works. So simple and even the dog goes through it happily.

Highly effective but a little flimsy
This idea is still the best option for keeping the flies out - even after all the decades! The bar is a little bit flimsy and bows down a bit but not the end of the world. I haven't cut it to length but roll it up a couple of turns and that is sufficient.
