Masks with air valves are being banned in some cities because they are ineffective in protecting the wearer from infecting others around them... Valves are designed to filter air that is breathed in. They do not filter air that is breathed out.

So to begin with, the shipping is insanely slow. The seller marked the item as shipped but examining the tracking code, it turned out they only created the shipping label but did not actually hand off the package to the shipper. It took a couple of weeks to ship. The mask is nice, but all of the fancy stuff is not functional. The pressure to open the egress valve is huge—much more than the fabric can hold. So this is no different from the other masks where you’re breathing in and out through the fabric. The valve is purely cosmetic. It also has a PM2.5 filter insert that I find questionable. Again, the air goes all around, mostly around my face and not through the mask fabric. So it probably does not help much. All in all, it is thick, sturdy and looks great. I’ll keep wearing it. But it does not fulfill my expectations of buying it in the first place.

Even though these came from China, they seem very well made, and they fit pretty well. (I guess they outta know how to make them good there by now!!!) I was kinda surprised, though, because Amazon gave me an expected delivery date of Aug. 14-Sept. 3, and even though tracking showed they were shipped, the date never was never moved up. I received them on Wensday, July 8th, which was great!!!

I hand washed the masks and air dried them. I had tried to size them out correctly and they looked perfect. I tried one on and it has a smell and is hard to breathe through. They look nice and the color is as stated. I find the black ones are comfortable and easier to breat with or without the filter. The red ones for some reason seem just a tab smaller for an adult face. That is why I gave the stars

Face masks are well made. Have a pocket for a filter. The extra air release is nice for using a mask for a walk. It should be noted that the seller is easy to communicate with and will keep you update on the location of your delivery.

Stop sending items that are not the ones pictured. Every chinese with the pics of these masks with a valve uses pics of much higher quality masks that I own, trying to buy more of those but I keep getting scammed. Yes, I got red masks, no, they have nothing to do with those advertised.
