This is sturdy stainless steel. I recommend spraying a non-stick spray before firing up grill. I clean mine after every use to stay clean. I like it much better than original grates. Fits my Road Trip grill fine.

Pros: Perfect fit on my older grill. Seasoned the grates to prevent rust. Original grates were Teflon coated aluminum which you don’t want to cook on either. Measure your existing grates as the sizes changed slightly over the years.Cons: makes the entire grill heavier to move around. Still manageable but if you transport this in an RV, it will weigh more.

After dropping and breaking my cast iron grates a couple of times, I decided to try this. They fit my Coleman perfectly and seem to cook just fine. I did use non-stick spray like others have mentioned, and had no problems.

So far this grate is working exactly like the original that came with my grill. I ruined my original ones because I forgot it was cast iron and you have to take extra care with cast iron. Before using this I suggest watching a video on how to prepare and care for cast iron. Don't leave this outside and do follow the instructions on cleaning it so that it won't rust. I'm satisfied that this is well made and the foods I grilled came out perfectly. I would definitely purchase this again if I ever needed to.

This is not bad for an aftermarket item, especially if you are looking for a stainless steel grate. With that being said, the item isn't sized properly, so when using it, you cannot totally close the top of the grill. In addition, a major portion of the burner is exposed with this cooking grate as opposed to the original grate which provides cover for the burners. Extra care is needed so that you do not foul up the burners with dripping grease. It would be nice if Coleman manufactured this item. Otherwise, the grate is sturdy enough and can be cleaned as easily as any other stainless grate. The price is right.

It fit my roadtrip BBQ nicely and worked well but after two years the coating on the grill started coming off
