Hiland Mountain Bike Handlebar Bicycle MTB Bar 31.8mm Riser Bar 780MM

I'm currently upgrading an older mountain bike to make it more up to date. One of those upgrades is a short stem and wide handlebars. Since this was an older bike, I didn't want to spend too much. My search came up with this one and ordered it with a stem that fit. I ordered the wider 780mm because I could always trim away more of the bar if it was too wide. First impression was really good. Bar was light and painted evenly. Fitting to the stem and adding the brakes, shifter (I also converted from a 3x8 to a 1x11 drive train) and grips fit perfectly. Once installed, time to ride. The old bar and stem were made by GT. This new setup felt really good and just as solid once put together. The advantage of a wider bar and shorter stem is better reaction time on the trails. After riding this for two weeks, I'm really happy. It's held up really well and in conjunction with my new drive train, it's like I have a new bike. For the price, this was a no brainer.

I didn’t use it since I bought a new bike. But it fits the oversized stem properly and felt very stiff. Would have worked fine.

Don't fall for the cheap carbon bars, they are dangerous! These are plenty light and won't crack and then break when you need them most. Indistinguishable from higher priced name brand bars, less the logo.

Everything was as advertised. Quality is good but I haven't had a chance to ride with it yet. I’m happy with the width and it’s marked for changing width if you want. Good product for the money
