Really nice
I really like this landscape edging. It was easy to install and is strong. It was also easy enough to bend without being flimsy. Just be careful not to kink it. Use a rubber mallet or wood block to prevent damage. It has improved the delineation between my lawn and rock beds and I LOVE the look...highly recommend!

Sturdy, heavy, too expensive
Short version: These are solid. Very thick and heavy. Easy to install if your ground isn't hard or rocky.Long version: We have intentional spaces in our sidewalk that allow the flower beds to extend through the sidewalk to the yard (see picture). I didn't want the rocks in the flower bed spilling out to the yard so I needed some sort or barrier along the edge of the sidewalk. I can't stand that plastic edging junk that is cheap and easy to find as it is a pain to install and doesn't hold up well. So, I gave this product a try. It is very thick and sturdy. I used a block of wood and a hammer to force it down in the ground along the edge of the flower bed. DO NOT hit the metal itself with a hammer as this will warp the metal and damage the finish. My method was to lay the wood on the product and hit the wood with the hammer, working my way from one end to the other and back until the whole thing was buried to the depth I wanted. I could tell I hit rocks in a few spots and that was pretty difficult, just more pounding with the hammer than in the rock-free spots. I had to turn a corner with this edging and that was when I really started to appreciate how robust this material is. It is HARD to bend. I got it done, though, and it looks great. Already had a few compliments on how sleek and clean it looks. Can't speak for the long term durability of the black finish yet but I suspect it will be just fine.

Pros and Cons to this edging
We have a very large plot in the front lawn, and bought several sets of this edging. We bought 8" edging, sinking it 7" with a 1" sticking out to weed wack against. Trying to prevent Soysia grass from climbing into the newly rototiller plot. Pros- the pieces were easier to bend than I expected, (but you need two people to make the slightest curve.)These are very sturdy, have good 'spikes' on the bottom for getting them into the soil. The stakes that hold the joints together look really nice. (see the cons side of that) As recommended the rubber mallet worked great. (see cons for that, too) Cons- The stakes that came with this 'splay' out as they go into the soil, and don't hold the overlapping ends together on a curve. We aren't sure from the pictures how much the pieces should overlap. YOUR RUBBER MALLET WILL BE SHREDDED. One side of ours was unusable so we had to go to the other side. That'll be shredded, too. This would work better with two people with two rubber mallets, but who wants to destroy two rubber mallets? Some of our boxes came with no stakes. We'll have to somehow contact the company about that.

Sturdy metal edging
I just received this order yesterday and installed it today. It seems very sturdy and it was easy to hammer into the ground. I tried wiggling it but it will not budge. I purchased it to hold back gravel in a new garden area. It gives the garden a clean edge look that I like. Bending the metal seems to help its rigidity so I usually try to place the metal in a curved or serpentine shape to give it more strength, especially with gravel or rock. Bending it wasn't too hard. I just placed my foot on where I wanted it bent and then grabbed one end and pulled it up and then did the same on the other end. It's not a perfect curve but it still looks nice. I'm going to order another 20 feet right now for another garden area I am thinking about. The price seems very reasonable.

The STAKES
When I purchased this item I assumed the stakes would be longer than the edging based on photos. They were not. I could not return these for free and decided to keep them and make my own stakes to get them to work. They are durable and well made but just be prepared to make them work with some DIY. I think they will last a long time. Also, stickers I have to pull off on the product are just annoying!

Some tricks to know
First of all, this edging was great. Comes with extra connectors which is good. To avoid acute angles at your joints, overlap the panels for a few inches and use more than one connector. Make sure to use a two pound sledge hammer with a thick block of wood. It will make your life a LOT easier. Also, not a bad idea to water the area you are installing prior to installation day. Does not do well for 90 bends. However, you can curve it along a sidewalk no problem whatsoever. I’m very satisfied with the product.

Make sure you use a Spade when putting these in.
The first one I put in without using a spade first. Way more work than is needed. Use a spade to make the slit in the ground and then these will go in much easier. They are very saturdy and I am glad I got these.

Thick, heavy, and durable
Very impressed with how thick and strong this edging feels and looks (not the flimsy aluminum edging you get at the big box stores).I can definitely see how some reviewers might complain about having a hard time bending this... it can take a bit of muscle, and a lot of time to make the metal stay at some type of curved form. But for my purposes (straight and a few 90degree bends), it was was perfect.
