Awesome Little Griddle
The Royal Gourmet PD1301R is an awesome little griddle, and you really can’t beat the price! I’ve always wanted a griddle, but the bigger ones were either too large or too expensive for my needs. Since I only cook for 3 people, having a large griddle felt like overkill and a waste of space. This 24-inch, 3-burner tabletop model is the perfect size for me. It heats evenly, has plenty of cooking space, and is very easy to clean. I had one of those griddles that you add to the top of a normal gas grill, and it didn’t work great and was a pain to clean. This griddle is so much better in terms of functionality and ease of cleaning. The cover is a nice bonus, making it portable and convenient for outdoor cooking. If you’re looking for a compact, budget-friendly griddle that performs great, this one is a fantastic option!

great item
This griddle works great. Does the job. just like it says portable and very economical. Cooked bacon, eggs, and pancakes with no problem. Easy to clean as well. Only issue i had with this griddle is that the grease trap hole is a little small. You have to keep an eye on it so it stays clear. Other than that you will like this product.

Great flat top
I have been very happy with this flat top. Cooks great. Heats up fast. And the clean up is surprisingly easy. You do have to cook mostly on lowest setting because it gets really 🔥. I would definitely recommend.

I Love Cooking on the Flat Top Gas Griddle!
I have seen other gas griddles out there and have wanted one for some time. This one by Royal Gourmet was just the right size and fits our needs wonderfully. We "seasoned" the cooking surface much like you would season a cast iron frying pan. It helped tremendously to make the surface more non-stick. We have been cooking on it for a couple of weeks now. We have used it for chicken, steak, pork chops, burgers and our favorite, fried rice. We have yet to have a meal that was not simply amazing! It has three heating zones, and the griddle temperature varies slightly from one zone to the next. It only takes a few of times cooking on it to master the zones. I generally have a mild heat zone to move things to as I am "building" the dinner, a medium heat zone for slower steadier cooking, and a high temp zone for searing. You can adjust the temp zones to your liking with the three well-placed gas valves on the front of the griddle's base. And clean up is a breeze. It has a grease trap that the drippings and fluids drain into to get them off of your cooking surface. It comes with a cloth-like cover with an elastic band to protect the griddle during times when you are not using it. It also came with a recipe booklet that we have tried a couple of times, but mostly we just searched for griddle marinades and recipes on the internet. I love the convenience, I love the results of the taste of the food. It is rapidly becoming a necessity in our house. I am really happy with this griddle and can whole-heartedly recommend this product.

Makes you forget that you have a Grill
Well all has started with a grilling event on the ocean side, we used a small charcoal grill. We got smoke minor burns, raw food, completely burnt food, lighter fluid, and remained hungry. So I was looking for some alternatives. Among a few searches this one popped out. I didn't even know that people use griddle outside of professional kitchen. I've bought a grill when we moved to the USA, though it is always a hustle to keep that clean, so I've lost the interest in it a few months after the purchase. Since I have this griddle I use it 2-4 or even more times a week (it's still summer). So let's review the details. Size: It's portable, though it is not small or compact. It can run on a small propane tank (with a suitable adapter) for about an hour with all the burners on low. You can use about the upper 4/5 of the cooking surface, as the bottom part usually too cold. It's enough to comfortably cook 8 burger patties in one batch. Heat: For me, this griddle runs hot, I usually cook on low. sometimes switching a burner or two off if the food needs to have different temperatures. I use the high setting only if I have a lot of food on the plate with high water content (hash browns, rice). Maintenance: That's a big surprise. This thing is porcelain coated which is not common for larger grills. I only can guess. This type of coating is quite brittle, so the unavoidable bends on a larger surface makes this coating impractical. Also the instructions is not that clear how to clean/prepare the plate surface. I've spent hours with seasoning, realizing that I would scrape of all that burned oil from the surface with my next spatula movement. Unlike ceramics, it is fine to use metal tools on this surface, as long as it's not a sharp poking one. So cleaning is just scraping the surface, and applying water on hot surface then wipe it with paper towel using a clip will do. Occasionally I use grill stone to get rid of some nasty burnt-downs. I did that only twice in 5 months so far, and the first one was after my, last, failed seasoning attempt. Both times I got the non-stick porcelain surface back. Comfort: - Well, leveling the plate is an important thing, I feel the four screws on the bottom of the plate does not provide enough setting if you you put this grill to an uneven surface (which could happen, since it is supposed to be portable). Also those screws change the distance between the plate an the burner, so the heat distribution changes as well. - There is no wind protection between the burners an the plate, which again can be challenging in a breezy outdoor setting. (I'd recommend to buy the hard cover, which could provide a wind shield from at least one direction.) - The drain hole for the grease trap could be larger. Even with it's shortcomings, this is a great little griddle for the money.

Decent griddle for the price. If not on budget, go with Blackstone.
This is a decent grill for the price, but I'd pay a bit more for something like a Blackstone. Out of the box the ignitor did not work. It is a manual ignitor (no batteries required), but that's not a deal-breaker. There are ports on the side for using a lighter to get the griddle going. Even though it has three burners it heats unevenly. The center of the grill gets much hotter and the sides probably get about 75% as hot at the same setting, so you'll have to lower the center burner setting to get something close to even cooking. While it is an iron griddle it seemed a bit warped (concave) in the middle. On a level platform the grease will migrate to the center of the griddle. Again..not a big deal, but a little annoying. It seasons just like any griddle, but due to the uneven heating the edges will not season as well. I've used this about 4 or 5 times so far and it's a little more difficult to keep the perimeter from rusting, even after leaving on high heat, cleaning, and seasoning after use. I leave it inside so humidity doesn't ruin it (until I can get a silicone mat for it). I took it camping and it performed as expected, based on the above review. My honest take is that it's going to be reliable and last a while. The internals are solid and the grease catch is in a good spot, though the hole that goes down to the catch can get filled with bits and pieces and clog it pretty easily (bacon, burger pieces, etc). Keep an eye on that b/c I had an instance where the grease (even though the hole was clear) would migrate down the underside of the griddle all the way to the other side of and drip on the table. Obviously, not a good scenario as the grease can easily catch on fire if it drips into the burners. That's probably the biggest downfall of the griddle.

Awesome to cook on
I cooked breakfast and supper on this for a whole week while camping, made fantastic meals on it. It has a large enough cooking area to cook for four people all at once, I cooked main courses, slid the food to a warm side and cooked side dishes at the same time and everything stayed hot. This thing gets very hot but too much heat is better than not enough, basically cook everything on low and if nessessary finish with burners off. I used metal utensels and the surface didn't scratch and the cleanup was super easy, just use water and a scraper then wipe it off with a paper towel. The materials used seem to be of high quality and the griddle itself is very well made

Grrrrill of my dreams!
I bought the grill because it was the biggest table top unit I could find (24" X 14")with 3 burners (lots of power and control), it looks beautiful and the price was great. The griddle arrived in 2 days and I unpacked and set it up easily in minutes and trust me it can put out loads of heat which I had to get used to. I was worried about the ceramic surface after reading a few comments in reviews, but I have used it have a half dozen times and I simply take the griddle top inside and wash it with soap and water in the sink. Cleans up beautifully. The only downside was that I have to use plastic utensils to keep the surface scratch free and I can't find a full size offset spatula in nylon or silicone. I will survive though.

Great griddle
Fabulous griddle for outdoor cooking. Took a while to heat up evenly with some smoke from burning oil on the griddle. Once evenly hot it cooks fantastic. Made pancakes for 13 people so effortlessly. Looking forward to using it more often. Had it on a wooden table and no concerns about heat under it. Used plastic spatula as I think the griddle surface could scratch. It exceeded my expectations.
