Light Weight, Soft and Roomy.
Bought my first Scarleton handbag in February 2016. I still have the first, and second. My last move - I lost three. This crossbody bag carries everything I need while out and about. I had the small version, but it was one that got lost in my last and final move. So I opted for the medium size to replace, again in burgundy. Same quality; soft faux leather, zippers work as expected, niice color, and strap is just the right length/adjustable.. Enough room to hold my kindle fire, flip phone, three pairs of glasses, lip gloss, keys, small notebook, pens, gloves, neck warmer/gaiter, small wallet, and a few odds and ends. When looking for a new bag, I always go to the Scarleton brand first. They have some nice designs and hold up well.

Functional
I've previously purchased two other purses by this brand, and loved them both. The material on those was very soft and really looked like leather, but this one is not quite the same. The fabric is not as soft and not as realistic looking. It is still nice, but I was hoping for the same type of fabric as the other two purses. The size was represented accurately. I would have preferred it slightly shorter, but could not find any purses in the exact size I wanted. I would have loved to have found a duplicate of one of the previous bags but unfortunately those are no longer available. That said, this is a decent purse and has plenty of pockets. It seems well made, and will be functional. I'm keeping it but I'm still looking for another slightly smaller purse to better suit my needs.

Floppy like a Sock, but Fits my 8.9" Kindle
I'll get right down to the facts here, there are pros and cons to this bag.Pros:*The size is big enough to fit my 8.9" Kindle HDX in the main compartment. (Yay!)*The strap is a nice length with good adjustability. It is soft and comfortable.*The weight of the bag is Very light. This is nice, I do not like a heavy purse!*And last but not least, the compartments are nice. Here is a rundown on them:The small snap pocket on the front fits my cell phone (old flip style phone), and the pocket just beside it fits a variety of other things. I use it for my girly items...lipstick, nail clippers, mini mirror, gum, tooth picks, etc. It is great to have these smaller items all in one place. There are also four additional zipper compartments, the large zippers on both the outside front and back of the bag, the small zipper compartment on the front of the 'girly' pocket, and an inside zipper compartment. The main inside compartment (also a zippered area), has two slip pockets, I use one for my sunglasses and the other for my metal wallet. These are bigger than the small cell pocket on the front of the bag, so they may be big enough for a smart phone. Now for the cons:*The lining....I got the black bag. I thought the lining might be like the one shown in the picture, but it is dark brown. It is surprising how difficult it is to see into the bag with that dark lining.*The shape of the bag is a bit more 'A' shaped than what I expected from the photo. This means the opening to the main compartment is a little tighter than what I would consider to be ideal.*Softness....Generally a nice soft bag would be a good thing. And maybe to some extent it is, since it may be a factor in how lightweight the bag is. But the softness in this bag makes it very floppy. It is difficult to sit the bag on a surface and have it hold any sort of a shape while you rummage through it. Sometimes the top section with the buckles, almost falls down into the bag itself. After considering all the pros and cons, I almost returned it. The thing that made me keep it, is the fact that it's a lightweight way to carry my Kindle, along with all my other purse items, without having to carry a second bag, or a bigger bag. I will use it for those occasions when I have an overnight stay somewhere and want to bring my Kindle along. In case anyone has a different size tablet they are wondering about, my Kindle (with folding cover) measures 6 1/4" wide by 9" tall, and it's about 5/8" thick. The 6 1/4" width is just about right to get it into the opening with maybe a half inch to spare on either side. The height is just about at it's limit. You may get by with a device that measures another 1/2", but not much more.I generally like a small minimalistic purse that provides organization. This purse is actually a bit bigger than what I usually like, but since it has become my Kindle bag, the size is a good thing.Bottom line, although this bag does not measure up to the hopes I had for it, I still find purpose for it. I am keeping it and I will use it. If I suddenly found myself without it though, I probably wouldn't buy it again. Three stars means "it's okay", and that describes my thoughts about this bag pretty accurately... so three stars it is!

Great Lightweight Crossbody - Fits Passports!
I LOVE this bag. I am a mom of 3 but I like to travel light. My youngest (10 months) is getting older and I was tired of carrying a big bag that would inevitably get bogged down with kid things.I use this as an everyday bag, but we live in Europe at the moment and I also use it when we are traveling, which is frequent. I wanted something that could carry a water bottle and kid snacks while also wearing my baby in a back carrier. My husband wears my older daughter on his back, so no one is available to wear a backpack. We went to Paris yesterday and found my favorite feature - passports, 4 in my case, will fit in the front square pocket, instead of taking up precious inside bag space. My day to day items in this bag are: diaper and wipes, keys, cash (Euro in one pocket, US in another - I need both), pens, tide to go, iPhone 6s, water bottle, a few kid thing (snacks/toys).It can fit two water bottles, or a larger bottle, but then it feels a bit heavy to me. If we are going to be out all day I bring a big bottle knowing it will get lighter as everyone drinks from it. Also, if we are out for the day, my husband carries a few extra diapers in his pocket. It should be noted in all this that I do not carry a wallet, I keep cash in the front two pockets and I use a iPhone wallet case on my 6s. I've always done this, not as a result of this bag, and I highly recommend it if you also like travel on the lighter side. The 6S fits perfectly on its side in the back pocket. All pockets can easily be zippered with what I keep in it.I also go to a book group and it will fit a normal sized novel.I am 5'4" and I do open the strap with only a few inches to spare for it to hit my hip as a crossbody. The material and color of this bag is great as well. As other reviews noted when I was making my decision, it is very soft and does not stand up. This was exactly the type of bag I was looking for, I got this to replace another bag with synthetic leather that was slightly stiffer and it cracked and looked pretty unappealing.I attached some photos to show some of what I've described, including the passports.I really love this bag - the style, the color, the comfort, the price - it was exactly what I was looking for!Edited July 11, 2017: Still love it!
