NOT WHAT IT SAYS IT IS!!!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY -- CANT BE TUPELO
If I could give it a Zero I would. The honey has been on my shelf for a month and a half.I purchased it the of January 11 2019. Waiting to finish my open honey jar.Yesterday I pulled the bottle out and it has completely crystallized. The main character of Tupelo is not to crystallize. Its junk! Now I cant return it.So here is your ZERO review.Junk, -- dont waste your money.

The BEST TASTING honey, bar none - Tupelo. Black Gum is EXCELLENT QUALITY.
I received (& ordered) the 3 pound glass jar of Honey-Feast Tupelo honey & it arrived quickly (within 2 days.) It is high quality tupelo &, is especially delicious. The package was safely shipped with plenty of cushioning in the box to assure the glass jar stayed intact. It arrived looking exactly like the pictured product. I love it & am very happy with it, just wish it wasn't so pricey, but hey, my biggest concern is that bees are an endangered species now anyway, so....I just hope this product stays available. Search "INSECT EXTINCTION" & see what I mean-collapse of the ecosystem, is all. As for Black Gum tupelo - you will not be disappointed. Since my first review, I searched further for cheaper tupelo honeys & this honey is actually fairly price for 3 pounds AND a nice glass jar. So no plastic BPA in this product at all. I bought some wildflower honey after running out of this because I was trying to save a few bucks.....no more of that. I will be ordering again this Black Gum tupelo AND sticking with ONLY tupelo from Honey Feast from now on. Other honeys just DO NOT COMPARE. Thanks Honey Feast! Do you produce orange blossom also?

Tasty and unique
I never had Tupelo honey and cannot say how authentic this is, but I can say that it is definitely not the honey bear honey, and has a unique flavor which is growing on me and has enhanced my collection of honeys that I am currently trying from around the world. Some of the honeys I have bought are creamy and some are clear. This one is clear, but not overly runny and has a nice mouth feel to it. The consistency is a lot like the sourwood and galberry honey I have tried, although the flavors are all different. Can you tell I eat honey by the spoon? I do, and I also love it over coconut yogurt (I'm dairy intolerant). I am pleased with this purchase.

Honey Fit for the Gods
Odin himself would be proud to drink mead made from this honey. Plus, it's the best option for back sweetening. Don't use that cheap clover honey (i.e. corn syrup) from the local supermarket unless you have the palate and income of a five year old.

The honey tasted fine, but very different from the Charleston honey tupelo that I am use to. Overall, I would purchase the charleston tupelo just because of the better taste, even though it is more expensive. The honey tastes fine though and works well in the several recipes that I've used it in.

Love It
It's great. This is my 3rd bottle. I love that it's glass. Love that it's truly is "Raw". Unheated, unfiltered. The taste is unusually mild for a raw honey; closer to a clover-honey taste. These honey-makers aren't just playing around... they're producing a good-for-you, good-tasting necessity. If you're not aware of all the health benefits of Tupelo honey (in particular), look into.

Beware: This Is Not A True Tupelo Honey.
Buyers beware! If you are looking to purchase tupelo honey, which is from the Ogeechee tupelo tree, look elsewhere. This is black gum honey and a blend of it and holly honey no less. Black gum trees are often called black tupelo trees but don’t even have to grow near water, like the Ogeechee tupelo. The taste is not even close to tupelo honey and I am sure it will crystalize, unlike tupelo honey.Misleading seller’s information: “bloom in May to June each year in the swamps of North Florida”. No they are native to 1/3rd of the eastern part of the US, (north and south), and don’t need to grow near swamps.

Tupelo honey has a low glycemic index
Tupelo honey has a low glycemic index, therefore more readily tolerated by diabetics. Also very very tasty!A question, though: my first order in summer 2018 was labeled Tupelo Honey. My recent order for the same product came labeled Tupelo Black Gum Holly Blend. Fine product still, but they should advertise it as a blend, not as just Tupelo.
