I knew this would be lovely just from the pictures but when I opened the box my heart leapt! It is the most beautiful statue I have seen anywhere of any of the archangels. I so wish I could afford a few more... perhaps Gabriel, Michael, Uriel......... but for now I have my Raphael atop the dresser and it is the first thing I see in the morning and the last thing at night. The detail and coloration of the cast bronze is so exquisite! Everyone I have shown it to is in awe of it. This is all less important than the fact the Raphael is helping me fight serious illness. I looked long and hard to find just the right 'Raphael' as an earthly portrayal of this wondrous archangel. Of course, he is always in my heart and looks over me always but to have this beautiful piece of art representation is truly a help to me. I JUST LOVE IT!!!!

This is a beautiful figurine. I have several of these cost cast bronze statues and I love them. I will say though that it is more bronze and less gold in person than it looks on my screen. I was expecting that, but heads up if it is looking gold to you. I chose this one because I see Raphael, angel of love and healing, as more yin than yang and the designer of this statue completely captured that energy, and did not try to represent the old worn image of a male Raphael from the Bible.
