This is the perfect gift for someone who needs some easy-to-absorb humor in their life; for instance, when they're getting chemotherapy and can only handle so much reality at any one time. They can read a couple of pages' worth, rest, then pick the book back up again and - depending on the kind of drugs they're getting to counter-act the side effects of the chemo - reread the same pages as if they'd never seen them. Humor heals, particularly humor like this.

This collection of cartoons is hilarious. Especially if you're a bit tired of how people are so critical about EVERYTHING nowadays, you'll enjoy it!

This book is hilarious. I have really enjoyed reading the cartoons. Some really make you stop and think. Hated to finish it although it is the kind that can be read over and over.

Great funny book. Far side always a classic!

Doesn’t it seem “Everyone’s (a bit of) a critic?” A very witty, extremely entertaining friend of extraordinary taste gave us this fabulous book of cartoons commenting on criticism. I just adore reading it and can’t stop laughing at its brilliant, biting sensibilities. Every cartoon’s so well chosen. As I grew up with a grandmother whose criticism rivaled Marie Barone of “Everybody Loves Raymond,” I can relate to so much of what’s in here - except it’s far, far funnier than anything she ever said. If you have a hankering for a great time, find criticism so relatable, and need a huge laugh - buy this book, it’s cheaper than a movie at the Arclight; and its humor will last for decades.

Great work! My biggest problem was trying to force myself to put it down so I wouldn't read the entire book at one sitting. But even perusing a 2nd and 3rd is entertaining. I hope it's the first of many for Eckstein.

Especially if they like witty, smart cartoons. An entertaining read, highly recommended.
