It may be that, after reading a number of reviews on Amazon, you're still confused. Does this towel work as advertised? Will it soothe me after an arduous round of bocce ball? Will it cool me on my journey to the hell on earth that is Arizona?I'm here to make things crystal clear for you, as I've a pack of these towels chilling at (okay, near) my fingertips as I type this. I'll walk you through things very quickly:Imagine taking a piece of fabric, be it terry cloth, seersucker or even find Alabama cotton. Now take that fabric and soak it in room temperature water. Wring it out, but, if the Lord has blessed you with very strong hands, not so much that you're left with a dry piece of fabric, as you'll then need to repeat the soak.Now comes the magic. Now comes the heralded 'snap' you've read so much about in the other reviews. "I just snap the thing and it's cold all over again," says Louisa. You're not sure what to do, really, as there are no instructions, no bulleted how-to-snap. So you just ...pull on both ends quickly and imagine a snapping sound. Then you do that a few times, mostly for effect. No, you didn't snap anything, unless you're very weak-wristed (osteoporosis is a thing!).And then ... oh my oh my ... and then you take that ice towel and drape it upon your warm and waiting neck. Imagine, if you will, the sensation as you notice that the room temperature water has been miraculously transformed into a room-temperate towel. Consider the power of the revelation that strikes when you suddenly realize that you've a house filled with ice towels. Every hand towel, t-shirt, curtain, carpet, even your dog's comfy bed .... you likely live in a veritable ice towel mine. With just a pair of scissors (or those very strong hands), you've got yourself an ice towel FACTORY.I'd give six stars, if I could reward chutzpah and audacity.

We could not have survived Disneyworld without these handy dandy "Chilly" towels! They helped keep us cool all day. We had them around our necks, my kids wore them as bandanas around their foreheads lol, at some point I wrapped one around my thigh to relieve my hot legs!!! Lol I'm sure people thought I was crazy haha they also served as a "blanket" in cool setting areas inside the restaurants with high A/C for my kids.

I really like the material it has stayed cool inside the house over 2 hours. I haven't tried it much outside but the material is breathable and a great size. You dont have to keep soaking it if you'll just ring it out it'll stay cool. I purchased this for my husband to use when Landscaping. I will be posting 2 more reviews to see if this holds up or not.After 1 Day: I used this towel while mowing the pasture in 98 degree weather. Sadly, the towel did not remain cool on your neck. The only way it became cool is if after ringing it out I put it back on. I wouldn’t recommend. My husband used it while landscaping it didn’t stay cool on him either, did not stay up as a mask. Very disappointed. However, they are soft so I just used it to wipe away sweat. I won’t do a month review simply because I found a better product that I decided to use instead.

I bought these for a trip to Disney World which gets really hot and humid in August. I’d seen similar products but wasn’t really sure if they worked or not, but I can tell you that they really do. Just run it/soak it in water, squeeze out the excess and shake out or snap it a couple of times and put it on your neck or skin and you can definitely feel the cooling effect. I don’t know how it works, but it did. The “feels like” temp was 110 degrees with pretty high humidity and these towels were able to make waiting in the sun bearable. It also did a good job of absorbing sweat and helping to wipe away the stickiness. For the conditions I used it in the cooling effect would last about 2 - 3 hours as the towel would begin to dry out. However all you have to do is go through the same procedure as before and your good to go. Some people have commented that it is like a small hand towel - maybe they got a different product. Mine was true to the manufacturers size description of 40 x 12. It was long enough to wrap around my neck twice or hang from my neck loosely with about a 1 and 1/2 feet of towel on each side. Overall I’m satisfied for what I paid and it did the job I needed it to do. I would buy again and probably will soon since I lost one on my trip.

It all depends for what you are looking for with this item. This product does a lot of what the manufacturer describes. It does cool well for several minutes, it’s made well, it will re-cool if wet again and snapped. Yes there are other towels that cool much better but they are also thicker and more comber some. The towels are well made, the bag leak and yes it did everything the manufacturer described but maybe not as well. I hate giving 3 star reviews because the product was decent but nowhere as near as great as the manufacturer described. If you’re spending a couple hours outside and want some relief then it’s a good product. If you are wanting something to last all day (on a boat, at a theme park, in a very hot area for multiple hours then there are some better options. If you want hours of relief be prepared to constantly be re-wetting it. All the bags leaked. Even when we stored bags in the fridge overnight with some water they only lasted 30 minutes top. I would suggest really thinking about how you want to use this product and go from there. Short term use, then I would recommend but long term use and repetitive use then I would suggest researching other products.

I Suffer From heat strokes along with headaches when I get overheated. So my family Dr suggested I get these towels. I’m very happy with the material and the packaging. Plus these cloths come with 4 ziplock style plastic bags with their own clips/ carabiners. Very nice for a long hot days hike or getting rid of those migraines.

These are fantastic for hit weather & for women who are suffering with their own personal summers. The towels stay damp for up to 3 hours. All you have to do if it has warmed up, is, give it a shake & will become cold again. My husband uses his at he gym, my daughter used hers in our hit weather & took it to bed with her. Would highly recommend.

Took these on holiday to the Dominican Republic where it was very humid. They proved to be a lifesaver! Handy bags and hooks for storage mean you don't mix them up. Long enough to put round your neck or head like a scarf, or wind it round your wrist. My mother in law took one for when she's golfing! Great price too.

These are brill. Soak them, wring them out and they feel barely damp yet they are cold. When they eventually go warmish, give them a flick and they go really colda again. I thought they were a gimick but they really work. My missus gets hot flushes and now rather than turn the heating off she just uses one of these. Now I'm warm and she's cool. Brill

Great value pack, lightweight and colourful but more importantly- they work just as described. Love the little pouches they come with, makes them easy to store and carry. Will be buying more for the rest of the family.

We used this product in the hot summer weather, really good and cooling, husband took it to golf, I used around the house wearing like a turban and daughter did the same. Very handy and the price was good, some other products were a lot more money and may not have been any better.
