Big Dot

Love this product. I’ve used them on several pistols now. They are made from quality material. Holding up to years of daily use. The bid dot up front acts like a red dot sight. Allowing for quick acquisition and target focus. Very helpful with follow on shots as well with the lower rear sight not obscuring the front sight or target. The tritium insert work amazing at night. They glow bright and are easily lined up under the darkest conditions. Installation is a breeze. With the supplied tools making it no hassle. Amazon delivered these and I had them mounted in under 30min. Fittment was perfect and aligned perfectly first try. The value compared to other sights is comparable. The appearance is what you would expect of this product. XS big dots are on the bigger side of sights but still fit within the standard sizes. Doesn’t really affect the appearance of your gun. Great product highly recommend for defensive shooting.

I've installed and used 18 sets of these on various Glock pistols over time. Once you install and use them correctly they are great, the key word here is 'correctly'. Most of the reviews I read here and elsewhere with people exhibiting difficulties can be linked to not installing correctly or not using them correctly. First, these are not 'precision' sights. So if you are expecting to put all rounds in a 1 inch group at say 25 yards 100% of the time then these are not 'accurate' enough for you. These are in a class of sights known as 'combat sights' (close engagement) which are basically used to put rounds on target very quickly under stress (e.g. self defense) in a Minute Of Bad Guy (MOBG) scenario for shots that stop the threat from continuing, for up to about 15 yards and quick 'close quarters' engagement. So, for example, in the MOBG usage shots landing in a 6-8 inch area center mass area, or in the bad guy in the chest area, are 'accurate' for these sights even if its not a tight precise group of, say 1 inch another person might consider 'precision'. Second, that being said, the aiming method given by xs is the correct aiming method for these sights. No, the center dot in the big dot is not what is used to dot the 'I' the bottom of the big dot is used to dot the 'I' in all ranges used. Its only when greater than ~25 yards is the top of the big dot used as the aiming point instead of the center if the big dot. I routinely put rounds in 8 inch circles at 50 yards with these sights with all rounds in the circle as I intended even though these sights are really for close quarters engagement type of work, so if a distance like this is your thing then you can also do it with these sights. This is 'accurate' but for another person it may not be accurate in terms of precision if that person intended a 1 inch group for all rounds fired. Herein lies the ambiguity of the term 'accurate' for these sights. They are not intended to be 'precision' accurate but rather MOBG accurate as a combat sight (described above). If you want to try the sights out and not yet sure if you will like them...do not use the red locktite instead use blue locktite, try them out for a couple hundreds rounds. If you don't like them then they will be much easier to remove. However, if you do like them and plan to keep them on the gun then remove them and completely remove all blue locktite and go through the install procedure again but use the red locktite this time. Another thing, filing. If you absolutely do not need to file then don't. A small amount of resistance may be noticed on some Glock dovetails, this does not always mean you need to file so tapping it into position is correct. In short if the sight can be drifted or pushed into position do not file. Only if you encounter excessive resistance in getting the sight in position should you file and then only if the sight will absolutely not move into position no matter what you do without filing. DO NOT PUT LOCKTITE ON THE SET SCREWS. Its not necessary but if you do then use only the barest hint of blue locktite on the set screw threads only and not red locktite. The front sight, follow the xs sights instructions. They take about 15 minutes at the most to install, its not difficult. Follow the XS sights instructions, take your time. However, if you encounter difficulty on install contact XS. I have had to use these sights In actual life threatening deadly force defense... they are lifesavers when the stress and movement of that eyeblink moment in time arrives.

Easy install. Comes with all the items you need to successfully install it. Locktite, front sight tool. I was impressed. Now to the sights. I’m over 40 and use glasses and even without them on I can see the large front dot. I love the sight picture. I really recommend it. The only criticism is that in total darkness the tritium is present but much harder to see. Still, I’m talking about near pitch black. Great product. I will be buying them again.

The sights are sturdy and very well made. The rear sight is easy to install and uses a pair of allen screws to provide tension so no sight pusher required. The "dot the I" sight scheme is fast and easy to use, and the large front dot is easily the fastest sight to pick up that I have ever used, and I've used a lot of different sights. You may give up a (tiny) bit of precision at ranges longer than 25 yards, but I'll trade a little precision for a whole lot of speed. Also, XS provides first rate customer service. Front sight was DOA and Amazon wouldn't accept the return because tritium is a flammable gas (absurd considering the amount of tritium in question, but whatever). I called XS, they apologized for the inconvenience and sent me a new front sight immediately with a prepaid label to return the non-functional front sight. No muss, no fuss, no send the sight first and we'll send you a replacement. Very impressed with the service and I'll definitely continue to be an XS customer.

This is the second set of CA sights I’ve ordered. The first set, I had to send back for a refund for one of two reasons. Either they were used and returned and then sent to me, or these sights explode internally causing a burn spot. With all that being said I got a new pair which I absolutely love. They are super bright and very easy to acquire a sight. I’m very happy with them. I had to pay more the second time because seller didn’t offer the Black Friday deal again. They are very easy to install with the provided tools and loctite.

Delivery time was slower than expected while product tracking indicated shipping was promptly dispatched from shipper while delivery time was a couple days late . . . having received and then installed the sights, and while not being able to range fire the pistol, it appears on first blush that I will like them as well as better than traditional 3 dot sights. Initially I thought they were not as bright as expected but on comparison with other night sights they were as bright and the ease of installation was on par with other previously installed sights. I believe they are a good value while I see a learning curve in learning to use them.

These sights have rekindled my pistol shooting. I use readers these days and can't focus on front sight, haven't shot pistols much in the last few years like I used to and my EDC sports a RemeoZero. I just purchased a new backpacking 10mm for out west and stumbled onto these XS DXT2 sights. Shot with them this afternoon and I am very impressed. The combo of a 2 dot system and large front sight is a winner. After a few mags on paper I'm running plates @ 20 yds with both eyes open. I love these and they will be installed on a couple Glocks after I knock the dust off of them. I have XS sights on a 45-70, but had no idea they had something even cooler for pistols!

Ive been watching reviews on this product on Youtube for the past few years and have been contemplating on whether i should buy these sights or not. I finally purchased them for my glock 43x. I will tell you they are great sights. They are easy to install on the pistol, just watch a youtube video on how to install xs sights and fallow step by step on exactly how they installed them. They get on target fast and effective and are actually pretty accurate if used properly. Of course they are not meant for precise shooting or long range shooting only self defense situations, but in a self defense shooting the threat wont be far away. I recommend these sights for your typical carry gun.
