HIMI Gouache Paint Set Jelly Cup 18 Vibrant Colors Non Toxic Paints with Portable Case Palette for Artist Canvas Painting Watercolor Papers, Rich Pigment, 30ml/Cup

Currently in quarantine and have been having trouble with watercolor (total newb) and saw the reviews for these, as well as the adorable and fun design of the palette. I read that gouache was easier than watercolor. They were not kidding.First of all, the package was heavy. I cannot believe how heavy this set is. I ripped open the package and my heart jumped a little. It was much cuter in person. I got the yellow set. I tore through the jelly cups and tore every lid off except for the #11 white.These mix extremely well. You can use them straight from the container, but if you really want to use them correctly, you will have a metal or porcelain white palette you can mix on. I mean seriously mix and get the right consistency. I have made some pretty colors doing this. You will need some heavier stock paper. It’s heavy paint.This paint absolutely will dry out quick if you do not baby it. I use toothpicks to mix it back up when it starts to harden and you should mist them once a week. I have found they don’t rewet like other artists have said in other reviews.I’ve just been doodling with them. These are not paints that you want to create and heirloom with, but they are fun and you don’t feel guilty at all playing around with a $24 set of paints, especially when there is so much.You will need harder bristled brushes. It tore up my watercolor brushes. Just get some cheapersynthetic brushes. Do not hesitate to buy these, though. I haven’t wanted to touch watercolors since they arrived.

The cover/ and cover color choices are really cute. It's a bit messy. The gouache paints are very vibrant, and majority of them are primary colors ! It's really easy to use- although I recommend getting a ceramic paint palette for mixing, because it STAINS. Overall, for it's quantity AND quality, the pricing is actually pretty affordable.

I am just getting back into painting and this set is great for that. Gouache paints are an excellent conistency to learn techniques of painting without the inconsistency of water color, while also having a fantastic pigmentation akin to acrylics. I definitely reccommend!! The colors provided allow of an array of colours, especially with their great mixing ability. The container makes for great transportation, especially since the palate is included. Get these paints!!

This is a really nice set and the person was very happy with it. Lovely bright colors. Fun for someone who likes to play with color and layering.

I love the paints, my swatches came out nice and I'm excited for larger pieces to come. The colors are vibrant and pretty. The paint has a wonderful consistency and its nice to know I can just add water to make them active again. My lid and palette were a little warped so its a little difficult to close it with the palette inside, I think it may be due to high heat where I live. Its a tad disappointing but a few other reviews mentioned it and I assumed cause of the weather it was a possibility.

this set of paints got me back in the swing of things, art wise. I've never been one for painting, I've tried water color, oil based, acrylic, and this gouche set is apparently what my medium was supposed to be. Thankful for the affordable price and the packaging is so cute. They do end up drying out over time, but adding a few drops of water into each jelly cup takes care of that. Ive had this set for months now and I've barely started to notice, there's definitely A LOT of paint in each cup. 10/10 would buy again! (Also yes, within the photos I've posted I did paint a bowl of my cats favorite toys, he has a tiny living room and these adorn his walls) not to be that way, but my instagram is @no.thaanks if you want to follow along with my art posts!

I adore this paint palette! Before using it I didn’t live Gouache but now I just love it! Super creamy and vivid paints that have an amazing pigment and a finish! Perfect for beginners or those who are experienced!

Great set that you can use for a very long time. The cover is great to just be able to close the paint up and put it away. Their is also a tray that can be used for mixing the paint on as well. Great set!
