Z Lite

As far as sleeping pads go, I find this design superior to ones that roll up for a number of reasons. Sometimes i use this pad to sit or kneel on and it is easy to use the folds to get the exact thickness between me and the ground where i want it. The R-value is pretty high for a pad this cheap. Comparing this to an inflatable mattress, I find this thing simply irreplaceable. It is tougher and more durable than any air mattress, you don't have to blow it up or carry a patch kit just incase it gets a hole. I know people that won't get their mattresses anywhere near a fire for fear that a flying ember will burn a big hole in their $100+ mattress. I plop this thing down in various configurations and sit or lay near fires with no worry. I frequently lean it up against trees so I'm sitting up but still have padding under my whole body, and one section doubled over at the top for extra padding for my head. I kneel on it to protect my knees when i'm cooking or building fires, i would never do this with an inflatable mattress. If we stop hiking to take a break it is easy to undo the straps on pack, throw this down and sit, kneel, or lay, then simply accordion it back up and strap it back on the pack and continue down the trail. If i ever get an inflatable mattress for backpacking i will still probably cut off and bring a small section of this for some of the above purposes. At 14oz it is also lighter by far than any similar r-value inflatable mattress by quite a bit. Even air mattresses that have very low r-value are heavier or the same weight.

I’ve always been one of those campers that doesn’t see the need for a camp mat. But I’m almost 30 now, and things change a little. So my husband and I finally invested in a couple of camp mats. We needed them to keep the chill off for fall/spring camp trips, be lightweight, and still comfy. Honestly, this checked all of the boxes for us. I’ll never camp without this again! I slept like a log, didn’t toss and turn, felt an immediate change in temperature between being on or off of the sleeping mat, and it helped not feel little things under the tent too. And it’s so lightweight. So the fact that it’s a little larger doesn’t even matter. Strap it anywhere lol.

Perfect addition for any sleep system. Light weight but very durable compared to other similar products. Hasn't ripped or started to tear after several uses out in the woods. Ideal for use under inflatable sleep pads. Great product

I recently tried out this folding sleeping pad, and while it works as advertised, it wasn’t quite what I was hoping for in terms of comfort. It’s definitely easy to set up—just unfold it, and you’re ready to go. However, compared to inflatable pads, it falls short in comfort. It’s quite firm and doesn’t offer much cushioning for a good night’s sleep, especially if you’re used to something more plush. Another issue I had was that it tends to slide around on the floor of the tent. I found myself readjusting it a few times during the night, which got a bit annoying. Also, the pad itself is on the smaller side. As someone taller, I found it less than ideal. If you’re on the larger side or just need more space to stretch out, this pad might not be the best fit. In the end, it’s not the product for me, but I can see it being perfect for someone who values a super lightweight, compact sleeping pad that’s easy to set up and take down. If comfort isn’t your top priority and you’re looking for something simple and functional, this could be a good option.

Definitely keeps me warm and is compact to fit in my camping box. Fits perfect on my cot

Has lasted me years of rough camping.

Not tested in cold weather but have had some incredible naps on it. Super compact and easy to store

Lets start at the begging, I purchased this sleeping pad with the sole purpose to replace my military issue THERM-A-REST air pad. First thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the Amazon box was how light it was. The next thing was the bulk when folded up. Not really "bulk", but more like a big rectangle. This isn't a huge setback just something to consider. I did a couple size comparisons with standard US military gear. This pad doesn't work very well with the GORE-TEX bivy, mainly because it is a little too long and also likes to fold back on itself when trying to enter the bag. Next I tried using it with a standard cot. The pad fit very well and comfortable. The main reason I enjoy this pad is that it does not slide around like air pads do. Next I will list some observations that will help out any buyers. First, I would recommend using a sheet or placing this under your bag. I have tried it without a sheet and found the feel of the foam against the skin is a little uncomfortable. If you are using this outside the wire or keeping your clothes on when you sleep than a sheet is not needed. Second, there is no retention straps that come with this pad. I would highly recommend this pad to anyone whether deployed or camping.

I felt, strongly compelled to review this item because it is, absolutely amazing. I was feeling desperate because I had been dealing with chronic back pain for some time. Since I don't really dwell on pills or going to the emergency rooms too often, I decided to take the issue in my hands. I knew, I had to start sleeping on a hard surface. I ordered this beautiful item for that purpose. To my amazement, the shape and design of this little pad, it actually serves as therapy as well. Within three days of sleeping on it, I was walking a bit normal, and little pain. Four days later, I could go for longer walks, and six days later, I went shopping, was up the whole day, and I was pain free. This is my advice, do not be afraid of sleeping in hard surfaces. This is coming from a parson who has had accidents, which resulted in some damage on my spine. As a result of it, I have been visiting chiropractors very frequently. Initially, laying on a hard surface, it will feel, almost unbearable for people who has never done it before. Don't worry. It is the spine and the nerves, waking up, and reversing the damage done through your entire life. I totally recommend this product and the company. I received this item, super fast. As well, the pad, is super light, unbelievable compact, and it is made from high quality materials.😍😍😍

Also Qualität hat wohl seinen Preis. Also etwas Vorsicht damit.
