Does this work with Microsoft Teams automatically?

Yes it does - I have Luxafor and teams start up together when I start my laptop. The luxafor opens on the teams tab rather than skype or one of the others. I have the indicator just outside my room at the top of the stairs about 10 M away. As soon as I take or make a call or an Outlook appointment updates teams that I'm in a meeting, the local and remote indicators turn red and then back to green afterwards. Or you can just change your teams status and that updates the Luxafor colour too. As I'm working from home, the family can just check the colour from downstairs rather than shouting or walking in, I always have my headset on, but now they can see I'm listening on a call.

Will this work when connecting from my personal laptop to a corporate PC and using my employers Skype?

Assuming you are connecting from your laptop to the work PC using remote desktop / Citrix or similar, then no - it won't. The Luxafor app needs to be installed and run on the computer that is running Skype.

Is this suitable for hooking up to mains power and mount outdoors? Thanks in advance.

The transmitter end needs the usb port of the computer and you can use a usb extension cable. The receiver is battery powered and needs recharging every few days. So maybe it could go outside but I think it would need to be kept dry and it can’t be placed too far from the transmitter.
