Easy to install and offers a Great level of security.

The original door lock installation was slightly off center, so when we tried use a rectangular jig on the original circle opening, we cut too close to one edge and the wood core crumbled in that spot. This covers the damage and reinforces the door. Luckily, we have a large gap and did not need to cut away on the door anymore to fit the cover snugly on the edge.

I purchased this to cover the damage done when we had to break into a neighbor's house. At the very end of the break in, he torqued the door knob to try to get it out. He created damage to the hole. This covered the damage well, and will make the door more secure. Now, it will be hard to break into his house again!

Wrong size... Already painted it. Waste of money!

After a recent break-in, I purchased 5 of these to help reinforce my doors and deadbolts. I had some difficulty in deciding between this bracket vs. the similar one with the flat door face surface (Prime-Line Products U 9590). In hindsight, I think that this second bracket would have been much easier to install, but initially I thought that having the latchbolt faceplate on the outside of the bracket would make for a stronger installation of this product.The products were delivered in timely fashion. While it looks like an item that's easy to install, two points that I want to bring to your attention. 1) The clearance space between your door face and the jamb is critical - if your door closes snugly, this item may not fit without some additional work. 2) You may need to have some basic carpentry skill and tools (chisel, hammer, etc) handy to help ensure this item is installed properly.. Here's my review...1) This product looks well made - finished and polished on the outside. As to strength, reliability and sturdiness - only time will tell.2) The manufacturer could have made the recessed area for the latchbolt faceplate slightly deeper to accommodate all types of latchbolts without any latchbolt faceplate protrusions which may affect the door clearance with the jamb. Also,I needed to chisel out a larger area in the door face to accommodate this recessed portion because its area is much larger and deeper than the latchbolt faceplate area size.3) The manufacturer could have grinded the burrs from the drill holes on the inside area of the bracket where the faceplace screw holes were drilled to insure an easier and snug fit on the door. The other option was to pound the face of the bracket to sink the protruding drilled metal burrs into the door. (see photos).3) If your deadbolt is heavy duty with a thicker latchbolt faceplate, the latchbolt faceplate may protrude slightly out, so you may need to set your jamb strikeplate deeper into the jamb.I was able to install 3 of these brackets on existing doors after performing the above work on each door and jamb myself in about 4 hours total. Two more to go. In the end the product locks very nice on the doors, blend in well and actually gives the door a more secure appearance. I am no carpenter and would modestly consider myself a novice handy-man. I don't mind doing the work, but if you're not handy or don't have the time or proper tools, you might want to reconsider and order the second (flat-faced bracket) instead.Thanks for reading - I hope this helps.

Makes a great security addition to entry doors. Easy to install, looks good. Be sure to use 3 inch screws on edge of door, (not front and back), during installation to add additional layer of security.

I bought this because our front door was cracked. Not sure if someone tried too break in and couldn’t or what. But I had to do some trimming of the door to make it fit. In the end it looks and works perfect.

This saved me hundreds of dollars on a new door. I had the option of buying a new door or adding these reinforcement brackets to my old existing door. The door become more solid and works better then before. I purchased 2 of these units and installed them on the door knob and dead bolt lock. The original door had split and doctored it with PL and installed these reinforcement brackets. Im so happy I saved the old door rather then replacing it for a new flimsy, thin, cheap door.

Very easy and simple to install they came packaged very well and I purchased two of them to install on my apartment door. well worth the money and with a concrete wall and a steel door frame with a thick heavy door nobody is kicking it in so if you're thinking of purchasing one don't second-guess it
