Does this grappling hook enable you to be Batman? or better?
Ladies and gents!I can be short, this product is as decribed!I succesfully was able to use this grappling hook to climb a building (my own house) - please don't try this at home - and it gave me the feeling of being a superhero for at least the duration of the climb and a few seconds after reaching the top. Although on top of the house I realized the grappling hook does not work for the way down...One thing I will say, please spend some money on buying better carabiners; the ones supplied are decent, but I would go for safer, especially when you are a stuntman like myself.Eric

During our recent adventure my children used this grappling hook to recover keys that allowed them to escape from a crumbling Lost Mayan temple. It worked perfectly. My 11 yr old son would like to see this added to a grappling hook gun. Please let me know when that comes out, I’ll take two.

You Don't Need This. Nobody Does. You'll Still Buy it Though.
Unless you're Batman, this a completely frivolous toy. I'd like to tell you it saved my life several times hiking, like when I was trapped in a valley by rising waters in a flash flood, and I used this to scale a sheer twenty-foot cliff to escape... but that's a lie and I completely didn't need to actually buy it to tell you that BS story. On the other hand, it is nicely made out of shiny stainless, and the core is threaded so that you unscrew it to lock the hook teeth in (for carrying) or out (for... whatever you think you need it for). Maybe you bring it with you for pulling trees down from a safe distance if you're cutting widow-makers with a chainsaw. Maybe you buy it to hang on your overlanding pack to look more legit... if you're willing to tolerate the weight. Maybe you keep it... near your tree house... in case you get locked out? Maybe it's for your canoe to use as an emergency anchor? I'm reaching here.In any case, whatever Batman dreams you have, this will probably satisfy on some level.

great product
would recommend upgrading the carribeners that come on rope, and potentially upgrading rope, or getting a longer rope, but rope is pretty durable. the grapple is great has fairly sharp ends and teeth, allowing it to dig into a limb without having to be close to perpendicular. would recommend purchasing. i have put roughly 350lbs of force on rope and stock carribeners, the carribeners have slightly warped, but are still useable.

This is a quality product
I have been using this to grapple and trim Tree limbs out of an old large Oak tree that was severely damaged by a storm and rendered unstable. I am pretty sure I have exceeded the weight limitations advertised, yet has continued to hold up. Please be careful using this, as it can be an unintended weapon. Sharp, strong, and rigidly constructed.

Well made grappling hook.
The grappling hook is well made with a nice weight to it . The rope that is supplied with it is ok but i would replace the carabiners with something more heavy duty , perhaps steel chain add links . I would also secure the rope loops better as they are stitched together and might break with heavy use.

Strong grappling hook
A great strong hook, but I can't break bit back down for transportation(hence only 4 stars), I'm sure the police wouldn't be too happy if I was caught carrying this, apart from that one fault it's a great to tool
