Service and delivery were great. However, when the collar arrived I found the finish work on it to be very poor. The collar wasn't stitched completely closed and a sharp end of the "filler" was exposed. Rather than paying another $10.00 and having to wait for shipping back and forth, I took it to the local shoe repair and the man that runs it stitched it up right for me for $10.00. I was pretty disappointed because of the great reviews this collar had.

I originally purchased a 18 to 20" girth reportedly 24" in total length. That collar had a total length of 20" as described on the label attached to the collar. Since the last hole on the 1st collar was about 18" and I needed 19", I ordered this collar noted as 24" girth and it was too big. The collar labeled as 1" x 22" is 21-1/2" from where the buckle swivels to the last hole in the strap and 18-1/2" to the closest hole to the buckle. That Coastal pet needs to clarify all their product data. I took me three tries to get the right size but the quality seems to be good - we'll see after prolonged use.

Beautiful collar and looked really nice on our dog. The quality actually seems good, however, it didn’t last long. Within four months the d-ring and clasp had come detached (see photo). We have a large dog but he does not wear this collar at doggy daycare and frankly sleeps most of the day.

Seems to be well made, but... My dog's neck circumference is about 17". One of the reviews said that the medium size barely fit a 16" neck, so I went with the large (24"), figuring I could use the smallest setting. It was huge on him, so I added a couple of holes to tighten it up (~19.5"). It stays on him OK... until he starts rough-housing with our other dog. Even at that size, she can (and DOES) pull it off of him. Guess I'll try the medium......

This is our second collar of this type and brand. It has held up well on dog #1, for about a year now, so we got one for dog #2. This type collar does not mash down the fur on coated dogs. It has held up even with getting wet when they play in water, and has not discolored their white hair.

I love the look of this collar and was so excited to put it on my dog, but unfortunately, he didn't like it. He wouldn't stop scratching at it... seemed like there was a part of the seam that was rough and was causing it to irritate him. Needless to say, it was donated in hopes another pup with thicker hair might enjoy it.

This thing lasted 2 days! I don’t know exactly what happened (my dogs tend to play and wrestle each other) but I noticed the new collar wasn’t on my shepherd anymore. Then 2 days later I found the buckles next to the dog house! So, no knock on the leather , my dogs apparently loved it, but it didn’t last very long!

Works great for my big dog. Great for dogs with lots of hair.

Good looking collar and good quality leather. Size was as expected. I prefer rolled leather for a dog collar rather than the wide strap especially for a longer hair coat
