I was pleasantly surprised by this foundation. I bought it without any big expectations but it is now one of my favorites! I have fair to light neutral/warm tones & chose the Neutral-Buff shade. I'm 37 & am starting to get some dark circles, red spots & breakouts every now and then so this works well for all that. Great for my skin tone too. It does have more warm yellow neutral tones rather than pink/red. I actually prefer more yellow tones in a foundation, just not too much. The coverage is full which I need at times when I break out. I love that it's long staying top. It's texture is most like Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is my favorite foundation. This is the closest dupe that I've found to it, so I hope Almay keeps making this product to alternate my expensive EL with drugstore prices. I use pressed powder on top but you don't even need a powder because this is matte & sets faster than other foundations. It really doesn't budge. I'd recommend a light moisturizer underneath this if you have dry skin. Oh, and I'm not wearing any concealer in the pictures, just used a sponge.

I had one other bottle of the same foundation and had the same issue but there are few liquid foundations out there with the same color of absolute pale that matches my skin tone. I've found that when using a sponge I can apply small amounts by dabbing on my face. Depending on the lighting, I will or will not notice that it has caked up or smeared somewhere on my face. If the room you are in, or your face temperature, is a certain degree of warm then it will leave your face looking streaked. The only thing that fixes it is washing and starting again.I give it kudos for a few small details, however. When it goes on smoothly, it makes for a nice even and natural looking finish. When powders are applied on it, they go on smooth and look beautiful. I have never felt like it was on too thick, my face doesn't feel heavy or like if I smile it will crack. It feels perfectly normal and I often forget it is on until time to wash it off. I do use an Elf setting spray but on days I've forgotten it, the wear/fade/smudge is minimal. I'm still in search of a powder or liquid that just matches my tone for an even and natural, thin, coat of makeup. This one is close but still remains replaceable in my makeup bag/routine.

Once I found my shade, it has medium coverage and is lightweight. I know what I’m getting every time I buy it and it’s a good value.

This make up stays. It drys fast and leaves face looking moist. It does not irritate my skin. It withstands and stays more than most make ups…sweat, small scratch on face & lightly blowing nose. It will cover well. Tip though is to use a sponge and dab. Rubbing it on doesn’t produce as good of a look IMHO. Let dry in between coats for about 1 min. Then layer on if you have an area that needs more coverage. If there is a small area try a natural bristle paint/makeup brush to just recover that area. Another tip is to test with your facial cleaner or soap. Put some on back of your hand, let dry then try your cleanser. I have found some soaps and cleansers work better than others with this make up.

I had been using EL double wear foundation for years. It’s gotten very expensive - about $50 a bottle now. I started looking for something cheaper and this Almay foundation is very close to the Estee L formula. This has a matte finish, doesn’t transfer onto clothes or phone. Lasts all day. Medium to full coverage. Feels lightweight - I can’t stand a heavy feeling foundation!). Doesn’t have a smell. I did have to mix two colors together to get the right shade (neutral buff beige and neutral sun beige). I have combination dry and oily aging skin (40 yrs old). I live in FL and usually need matte finish for the humidity. I’m very happy to have tried this.

The only thing I really do not like about this product is that the foundation bottle is not sealed. So anyone could have tampered with or added something to the foundation. It could have been used and then sent to me because there is NOTHING sealing the foundation contents in the bottle from anyone accessing, removing, or adding to the foundation formula. There could have been bacteria introduced to the foundation. Most of the time and I dont have any skin issues using Almay products but for some reason I have had issues using this product. I order one and tried it but I broke out with a big sore that turned into a massive scab on my chin so I ordered another one thinking maybe it was just that bottle. When the second bottle was delivered the bottle was not “NEW” looking and seems to be scratched and dirty without an over the cap seal even though it was wrapped in bubble wrap. Then, I opened the top and there is no seal under the cap either. So it this foundation used?**see the pictures**

First time trying this product it provides great coverage and goes on smoothly it has a natural look and comfortable on the skin great buy!!!!
