DIYSELF 55 PCS Exacto Knife Set, Hobby Knife Kit, A5 Mat & Blades Included

I absolutely love this set! I love the utility and design of the Matt and have found that it’s so easy for cutting on top of and measuring for different craft designs. The X-Acto knife is really comfortable and easy to use. The tips fit on really easily and are safely stored in the package. The exact amount has a lot of different options of sizes and I ended up getting a smaller one just so it was easier to store.

Well, it works — but if you expect heavy use, you’ll need a heavier-duty setup. The blades are sharp, but very flexible, so you have to manage your cuts with extra attention. If you’re cutting 6mm foam board, for instance, the blade might curve within the board if you don’t use excellent technique (which you should do, of course). The real issue is that the screw-in mount unscrews itself. You’ll notice a wobble when it’s time to retighten it. The mat is thinner than expected, but it’s a problem only if it’s the single piece of protection you’re using and you manage to cut through it, which seems unlikely. I place the mat on cardboard or foam board for more protection.

This set was exactly what it said it would be. I was being lazy and broke one of the blades, but it’s okay because extra blades were provided!

The exacto knifes are sturdy and seem durable, the blade stays in its place nicely. Blades are well sharpened and it comes with plastic containers for each type of blade, the ruler and pad are durable and good quality, only it's super small and it's almost worthless for anything, so you'll probably need a bigger pad and ruler. The Cutter doesn't feel that great, but makes the work well.

The hobby knife pen doesn't tighten very well, and the box knife is virtually useless, but for the money I've gotten plenty of use from the rest of the kit. Would still recommend as an entry kit to the miniature crafting hobby space.

Great price for a bunch of very useful and well made items. The amount of blades you get for the knives alone is worth the money. Fantastic.
