Q: Just got mine today, when & why should I use the ozone, what does it do? And how long should it be left on for? Can the fan run regularly?

With ozone, you are only supposed to run when everyone including pets are out of the home and open windows upon return.

Q: Does it use ceramic ozone plate and is it replaceable?

diagram in booklet shows it has a HEPA filter, a carbon filter, a tio2PCO filter, and a 500mg Ozone plate...but no info on whether or not it's replaceable. Sorry.

Q: The unit seems to make two noises, the fan noise and a electric crackling noise. Is this normal? Perhaps it’s from the uv bulb.

I have 3 of the units. The only thing I have heard is the fan and a slight hum.

Q: Can I get a UV bulb replacement?

Yes... eBay has them all... as for people warning you that they EFFED up and left it on high AGAINST every warning by the makers and sellers... Don't worry. These should ONLY be used to sanitize on high for 24 hrs at the most. And THAT's for REALLY REALLY bad problems... Like an EMPTY house full of GROWING mold. Most problems can be handled with 1-4 hrs of use on HIGH. I'd put it on a timer if you need "daily" HIGH settings. This is all manual settings, so that should work. You could also let it just come on during times you aren't there if you start out sensitive to the CLEANED air... Some people do. Usually smokers. These kill viruses... I use them EXCLUSIVELY for Mold, odors, Asthma, and with other things, Strep throat infections... Remember... if you turn your water heater and then shower on FULL HEAT, you're going to have problems. If you drink too much water you can too! These are DESIGNED to run on as LOW as possible. If you smell the Ozone, it's on too high... PERIOD! Did you read that? Read it again. THAT is the #1 way to successfully and efficiently use these technologies! I stopped a kid's asthma inhaler use for 3 seeks(when I called) with ONLY 20 minutes on high aimed at a 2 ft X 2 ft wall covered with Green alga... They forgot to turn it back on after I moved the machine to their living room.
