Does the job for raising monarchs--excellent purchase
Over the past month I have raised and released over 40 monarch butterflies in this cage. It works very well and it's big enough to fit a milkweed plant while the caterpillars are growing and a potted flowering plant when the butterflies hatch with enough room over the plant for the butterflies to flutter around without injury. When they are strong enough to release and weather permits I simply take out the plant and take the cage outside and open it. My caterpillars climb to the top and the chrysalis hang from the top with no difficulty.

Nice habitat for monarch caterpillars!
I used this the whole season, It's super light, so I put a plant pot in the bottom, and used a zip tie through the top zipper to stabilize it and attach it to a fence (with the plastic side to the fence so the cats don't fry) so I could keep it outdoors in controlled sunlight. It worked and it was easy to clean up: just shake out the frass (easy, since I had a paper on the bottom,) hose off and let dry, fold up and put away! The wires are sturdy! In fact, be careful while rolling it up that it doesn't pop back open and smack you in the face, just saying. :D

Great temporary enclosure for chameleons
This is huge! It’s as big as my large chameleon enclosure. I use it all the time for my chameleons. I put a box in the bottom for support and then add a plant and some vines. I can move my chameleons to it while I clean their enclosures. I also use it as a temporary cage when I take them outside. It has two handles on the top and it’s been very sturdy carrying it around. I don’t have to worry taking my chameleons outside and moving them around as I garden. They get get natural light and my panther cham loves me to mist the inside. The water beads really nicely on the material. Both my chameleons will go right in and appear to really enjoy it. Definitely less stress for all of us. Highly recommend!

Good butterfly net- could be better.
I liked that this is a nice size for butterflies. I got it for giant moths. Could have plastic bottom to be stood upright too. Would make it easier to keep any water from leaking through the net. Also I thought it would be a full door by the pictures. That isn't so, the zipper is only a half door. Not leaving much room for putting plants in and out of the home.

Extra Mesh panel is great!
I raise butterflies and one of the problems I have had in the past with larger enclosures is water collecting on the bottom. Now I have this one with ALL mesh panels and the water is able to drain. Happy to have found this seller!

Meh
I was so excited to get this, but it was defective and required repair. I’m not sure it will hold up. One of the metal rods that are seen around the frame are encased in a very cheap nylon, it had torn through and I had to push it back through and then sew it in to anchor it. I also keep the clear viewing window on the bottom since it is easy to wipe out if needed. Considering the quality, this should have been priced at 7 dollars at the most.

Perfect for outdoor butterfly raising!
This is perfect for saving caterpillars. Easy to access and has a great viewing window to watch them. Sturdy construction. Large enough to put a 12 in pot in. It even has a strap so you can stake it down outside. I have released 7 Swallowtails already with two more chrysalis’.

Caterpillars win in this habitat
You won't have to worry about birds, lizards, or wasps while they're in this habitat. This is large enough to have a decent potted plant in it and protect your caterpillars and butterflies until they can fly away. It has a viewing vinyl side and then the rest is mesh so it can breathe and be watered easily while protecting the contents. This would work well for protecting a small fruit or produce plant as well.

Worked good but need improvement
I bought this for raising monarchs. Overall it did the job it was intended for. It’s easy to set up and take down. I find it a bit hard at times to see through the window especially with weather changes it would fog up at times or have a reflection. When I unpacked mine it was leaning on one side which made it challenging to be stable especially if it became windy. I had to put rocks and heavier things beside it so it wouldn’t tip over and it’s so light.

Butterfly Haven
One needs to watch neighbourhood birds who will perch on top of the butterfly house and will pecked holes in the roof. Even small holes can increase the risk of ants and predatory wasps entering the enclosure and harming eggs, caterpillars and butterflies. Also, sun exposure seems to greatly weaken the fabric. These things noted, we hatched 15 monarchs in our butterfly houses this summer.

A bit pricey for the size
This is a hard to find item. But the price I found was a bit too high
