Really Pleasant CD
Wonderful album by this unknown singer. Saw him on TV and immediately ordered his CD from Amazon. Love his voice so much; and the lack of background musical distraction. Only piano and very minimal instrumental competing with his voice. Have played this in my car probably twenty times..... so far!

Tobias Jesso Jr.'s debut CD "Goon" has some strong moments. "How Could You Babe" has a catchy hook on this midtempo track's chorus that makes it spark with Tobias' vocals alternately hushed and soaring, "When I found out you'd gone & met a new man, I felt so lonely that I cried; How could you baby?" It's a great tear-in-your beer closer tailor-made for a last-call juke box. "Without You" is also a lovely heartbreak ballad with Jesso's airy vocals and plodding piano drawing us into a new empty routine, "I can hardly breathe without you; There is no future I want to see without you; I just don't know who I could be without you." While the CD suffers from a lack of variety of tempos and instrumentation, "Hollywood," "Crocodile Tears" and "Leaving Los Angeles" are also strong. This is a promising freshman set from this young singer-songwriter. Enjoy!

Heard about this artist on NPR...always interested in young new artists, so I thought I might like the CD. It's ok, but most of the songs have a similar sound and vibe, so if you like the comfort of knowing what's coming next, this one is for you.

Oh mein Gott, was für ein wunderbares Kleinod! Ich habe die CD auch eher per Zufall entdeckt und ich nehme sie fast gar nicht mehr aus dem Player raus. Auch im Auto: Tobias Jesso Jr. rauf und runter.und wieder von vorn...Ja sicher, wie immer eine Geschmacks- und Stimmungssache - aber ich bin sicher, ich werde noch viele meiner Freundinnen und Bekannten mit dieser wunderschönen Musik "infizieren". WARUM, FRAGE ICH MICH, HÖRT MAN NIEMALS SOLCH GENIALE MUSIK IN DEN EINSCHLÄGIGEN RADIOSENDERN? Leider muss ich die anstelle dessen propagierte "Wegwerf-Musik" immer wieder wegschalten....

Well what an incredible album this really is!! I first heard about him two nights ago on Jools Holland, And straight away i thought this bloke is good, And the performance was amazing!! i ordered the album that night on the strength of that performance. Played it and not one bad track on it!! Quite simply stunning!! I think some tracks sound a little bit like the beatles/John Lennon. A real talent, i can only thank Jools for bringing him on his show!!

Fantástico debut de Tobias Jesso un primer disco que nos hace imaginar un gran futuro para este joven músico . Para empezar ya hace temas para Adele.

Da un punto di vista artistico il disco è affascinante. Opera prima di un giovane quasi sconosciuto ragazzo. Delizioso, piacevole, romantico. Qualitativamente il disco no risulta eccellente, semplicemente soddisfacente. Cura dell'immagine non troppo accentuata. Il vinile è bel registrato.

Goon es un muy buen álbum, uno de los mejores que escuche durante es 2015. Lo recomiendo muchísimo. Además suena súper bien
