Beginner friendly puzzle for Kids
I ordered these puzzle set for my nephew and he absolutely love them. It has four different puzzles and when you receive the box, it comes with four different compartments that way you can separate each puzzle. The quality is good. It’s a wood puzzle, which is great for kids because it won’t get damaged that easily. It is very easy to assemble and it’s one of the reasons why I chose this product. This product is really great for kids who are getting into puzzles , it is a great start. I would recommend it.

Great set for young children. Very detailed pics and well made product
(I just wrote a long review for this item and went to submit it, and the words disappeared!! So this will be much shorter and to the point!!) My first impressions: 1.) box was much smaller then I expected, especially for the price I paid. 2) seemed heavy and very well built Christmas morning: 1.) when my son opened this present, he was ECSTATIC!!! At age 2 he was a puzzle master and dinosaur obsessed! He wanted to stop opening presents right away and put these puzzles together! Opening the box: 1.) The plastic this box was wrapped in was easy to get into, the wooden lid on the box itself, not so much.. My son couldn't get it open himself so he needed help with that.. It took some effort on my part to get it slid off as well, because the places that are cut out for the lid to slide in and out of are pretty stiff.. I guess that is a good thing though because after lots of use, you don't want the lid to just start sliding off on its own. 2.) Each puzzle took him about 5-7 minutes to get put together. The pictures on each puzzle were very detailed and colorful. 3.) I worried about the paper pictures on the wooden pieces peeling off after continued use. 4.) There are shapes on the back of each piece that helps you identify which pieces go together. There is also a separate compartment for each puzzle in the box. When he got done with the puzzles, I had him take them all apart and mix them together, then separate them by matching the shapes as they went back in the box. We noticed that 2 of the puzzles had shapes on the back that were VERY similar.. This could be a problem depending on the age and maturity of your child. Overall impression after 1 year of use: 1.) This has been a favorite puzzle set for my son since he got it. He chose these puzzles several times over the other puzzles he owns. 2.) The puzzle pieces and the storage box are still in great shape. No torn, peeling or missing paper from the pieces or the box, and no broken or loose wood on the box. They have held up well. 3.) the storage box and the shapes on the puzzle pieces make him actually WANT to put the puzzles away when he's finished with them (YESSS!!) 4.) The recommended age may be a little off (in my opinion). It says ages 3 and up but my son was 2 when we got this and now at 3, he doesn't use these puzzles as much as he use to because it only takes about 2 minutes to put together each one. I definitely recommend this puzzle set. After about 6-8 months of NON-STOP use, the puzzle pieces and the storage box still look as good as new!

Cute little set of puzzles in a cute little box
I bought this and the trucks/vehicles set for my 28 month old who loves puzzles both electronic (ipad/kindle) and real ones. Since these don't have an outline or some guidance they are difficult for him and I have to start them for him and he then fills in. Once he is older I think he will love them. They come in a nice little box and you can put the puzzle together on the lid that has a rim that is slightly bigger than the puzzle themselves, which is a nice flat setting for it and contained so it doesn't move around much. The box itself has 4 separate spaces in it so you can store each puzzle together, and the box is smaller than you'd expect as about 7x5x2.5 inches. You do have to stack/arrange the pieces pretty neatly because each space is very limited and if you don't arrange it nicely, the puzzle won't fit. It would be better if the box was a littler bit deeper (not longer/wider or you'd lose the nice size top for putting it together), like 1/4'' or so to accommodate a little imperfection with storing because arranging and stacking each puzzle takes time and I like quick and easy clean-up. I put each puzzle in a little sandwhich bag to keep it separate for my little guy becasue when my puzzle came the pieces where all mixed up together so there might be some room between the inside dividers and the lid which allows for them to move into each others storage place. The other nice thing is on the back of each puzzle piece is a shape, each different puzzle has the same shape, like the truck would have a triangle, the train has a little circle; this would allow for a kid to be able to easily identify which pieces go together for each puzzle. These are made out of a light weight wood, maybe balsa wood. Reminds me of those "Golden" puzzles that where the size of a sheet of paper but a thick cardboard, when I was a kid. They are lightweight and not indestructible. if your kid chews it, it will show signs of that and get damaged - so watch them and do the puzzle with them if they are so little they still mouth things sometimes. I don't think they would be able to bend these though, they are tough enough for that but wet mouths and strong teeth could damage. I think my son will grow to love these even more as he gets older and can understand the concept of putting it together without guides and being able to match them by looking at the back of the pieces to know all circles go together and so on. I think these will be around a while and maybe even make it to one of those toys you keep for your grandkids, like my husband's mom did for some of his golden puzzles which are my son's favorite..ah the good old days!
