Not super durable
Maybe my standards are a bit too high, but I had hoped this product would withstand at least five years of normal use. By my conservative estimate, I purchased these sometime between spring and fall 2020. I may have bought them later, which would make my main issue worse. My main problem is that the hinge where the arm (the part that holds the speaker) attaches to the headband is very flimsy. I only noticed this problem today, but the peg that holds this in appears to have worn down or come loose. I think that grabbing my headphones by the cups is a pretty reasonable way to put on and take off a headset, but this appears to have caused some damage over time. At $100, I had hoped these would last a lot longer. While the audio quality left a bit to be desired, the noise cancellation made a bit of a positive difference in my workflow while everyone was home. It wasn't perfect, however. The only place where this really made a huge difference was my local library, where most people were pretty quiet by default. They also don't sound as nice as my previous open-ear headphones. I'm not an audiophile, so I can't exactly describe the qualities that I do and don't like. I've found cheaper headsets around the $60 price range that sounded better. However, there's probably a good explanation for this issue. I've heard that noise isolating insulation tends to impact sound quality.Either way, I've adapted to the second and third issue just fine, and I would probably leave a much more positive review if not for the fragility of this product. At this price point, I'd say investigating other products is a good idea. $100 is nothing to sniff at.

Refreshing! A definite contender against other gaming headphones!
So I've had my fair share of headphones. Be it for music, movies, or video games. I've had skullcandy, razer, steelseries, corsair, beats, and audio technicas. So yeah i've had some ups and downs with headphones. Without a doubt this is definitely a worthy contender against other gaming headphones out there. My Ath-m50xs are definitely my favorite still, but I was completely blown away by the sound quality of the AW510h's. And thats straight up hooking them up. I will give this disclaimer though: FOR THE BEST AUDIO EXPERIENCE, CONNECT VIA USB! The only con i have is that the 7.1 surround sound goes away when connecting straight to the 3.5mm jack. Otherwise these are pretty crisp in sound. oh yeah I almost forgot, THESE DEFINITELY WORK ON A PS5 CONSOLE! (just make sure to connect the usb directly into your Ps5's usb port to get the 7.1 surround sound experience) i I'll definitely be buying more gaming headphones from Alienware in the near future! ^__^

Great Sound, Bad size
Everything was fairly good quality and it connected seamlessly to my alienware laptop. I would have kept them if it didn't feel like my head was being pushed through a birthing canal. I swear that after 15 min or so, I felt and looked like a new born baby. Red, Swollen head with a deep hatred for whomever made me feel this pain. I hate you mom. Side note, My baseball hat size is 7 5/8ths with a high crown. Yes, I have a big head, yes, my mom was in pain, and yes, I still hate her.

Shut up and take my money!
Everything about these headphones is amazing. The material is great. From the looks of it at first, I thought they might be fragile. But they are not. They are very well made.Comfort is 10/10. I have a big head and normal size ears and the headphones fit with no issues, there's plenty of room for adjustment. The sweet spot for sound to me is at about 40%. They are very loud at 40%.The 7.1 surround is every bit of it. I play shooters with them and I can pin point people in buildings, while running and even walking. The microphone is great. I don't even have to pull it out and people hear me loud and clear. So performance wise to me they're a 10/10.As far as looks go. I love that they look simple, mature and wouldn't embarrass me to be seen wearing them unlike many other headphones who have lights and whistles and all kinds of gimmicky things hanging out of them. The headphone is rubberized on the underside which makes it easy to wipe clean. The ear pieces are very comfortable and seal extremely well. They are fully adjustible. The ear pieces swivel and can be pulled down or pushed up to fit your size. The headphones come with 3 sets of wires. An audio and microphone splitter and a USB and a 3.5mm connector. Either wire will give you a microphone /audio combo so if your laptop doesn't have a esperate microphone plug, you're perfectly fine.Cables are a good length, around 4 ft long.

Great escape, mostly....
This headset is comfortable, with a clean and streamlined style! The headphones swivel which I like and are adjustable for higher, or lower, ears (you know who you are ;). The mic is clear and conveniently stores away when not needed. The control for volume on the main wire, which is a 3.5mm to usb, is a set of push buttons for up and down as well as a slider (with audio prompt) for mute/unmute. The headband seems comfortable and the weight isn't bad. You can also remove the ear pads for cleaning if you'd like. Great product for it's price as the 7.1 surround sound really immerses you in games and movies and there is the option to go stereo if you really would like to.Edit: unfortunately I've discovered some issues after continued usage. While voice chatting through Steam the built-in mute/unmute button seems to fail. In other words the other person can always hear you so you're always unmuted. Not sure if this is a steam software issue or the headset but that is disappointing. I'm removing a star for that although it really should be at least two since it's such a basic function. Also, the fact that the headset has no downloadable audio program as far as I'm aware knocks it down another point. I shouldn't have to pay for DTS when I just paid so much for a headset! The mic seems to have zero noise cancellation ughhh.

OK for gaming but heavy, uncomfortable and extremely poor audio range.
Comfort: These headphones are heavy despite being wired... where that additional weight comes from is baffling as they're just not that durable. They're uncomfortable even after a single hours usage and your ears will feel 'hot and sweaty' - add to this the high clamping force and you haven't got a winner.Gaming: Without a doubt, these are excellent for cutting out external sounds - I wish though, that I could say that the 'Noise Cancelling Microphone' did as well, but it doesn't.Audio: Anything other than 'game' audio will sound like your listening to it underwater. Absolutely terrible audio range on this product that's suitable, and only suitable for Games.

Tight band. Potentially used?
The package was opened when it had arrived. The plastic seals were ripped and there was no shrink wrap. It looks somewhat new, but there's also a piece of dander on the earmuffs that could potentially be dust. It works but I'm annoyed that it might not be new. On the plus side, it's really cool how the mic retracts into its housing and the earmuffs are adjustable (shifts up and down). I also have a small head (female, typically wear small-sized hats) and find the band tight when the muffs are in the right position. If you have an oblong head (like their logo), then you'll be fine.

Good but prior version was better
It is very good in terms of sound quality but the headset is not wireless and feels cheap. Maybe the more expensive AW920H has a better value than this one.
